He's had some decent reps even going back to last week. He's just not getting enough of them. They need to figure out 3rd down personnel, on both sides of the ball.

I don't think Connor can really play the slot. I dunno the fix there, but something needs to happen.

I'm getting to the point that I'd stick Williams and Johnson out wide and put McDuffie back in the slot. At least on 3rd downs.

It's not like McDuffie is locking guys down out wide right now. He's getting beat up a bit out there in his own right.

If we can get him back into the slot, maybe we can at LEAST make QBs work for their yards. Those passes out wide are more difficult than the easy little pitch and catches we're getting over the middle. Or the quick/easy out routes that they're throwing to the slot guy.

It's just too easy to find open guys right now.

Yeah, McDuffie has had some struggles this year outside. Williams has actually been better outside lately, they're gonna have to do something with those slot outbreaking routes, they're jsut getting murdered there.

I said in the Broncos game thread that Johnson can't change directions worth a shit and was going to STRUGGLE with those quick-hitters. And as soon as he starts cheating on them, they'll hit him with a double move.

Conner isn't much better.

They have two guys trying to cover those routes that just don't have the physical traits to do it. Nazeeh takes a full step too long to gear down and change directions. We're going to continue to get beat up with that route unless we change our coverages or at least get McDuffie back to the middle.

Kinda thought they’d put Nazeeh in the slot some since he runs a 4.35 and below 7 second 3 cone.

Honestly I’m encouraged by what I’ve seen from Nazeeh and see what Merrit sees. He has been right there lock step with a lot of these passes. The Amari Cooper catch was just a tip of the cap. Same with the Sanders TE catch in Carolina.

He was right there in position unlike Conner who was a clear 2 steps behind.

Give Nazeeh time

Kinda sounds like Chavarius Ward in his early time here
