KU Cornell vs. Jayhawks - Page 26

On right now....kind of. JTV wasn't satisfied with using a camera with a vaseline smeared lense, now they made the game completely unwatchable. Add to it Gurley and Armstrong.....ugh.

Not watching, but KU up 7-4.

I didn't overlook them. Any team that has 4 dudes shooting over 40% from 3 has a chance to win any game on the schedule.

I just think he's soft spoken. He was visibly frustrated when he kept missing shit, and really got aggressive taking the ball to the basket. That was anger driven.

Cornell would likely be 12th in defensive pressure in the big 12, so, he'll have to adjust, soon.

Fwiw, Mizzou looked like crap against a terrible team for over a half of play. I figure they were looking ahead to conference play... and not all that jazzed about Savannah State. Shitty weather, bad opponent... and no crowd.

But they pulled it together for a 29 point win. I'm just happy they took care of business.

Conference play is where the real fun starts.

He did have a very off game and needs to find ways to over come that. He got a few steals, but I didn't see him getting particularly fiesty on D. That's how good players get over bad shooting games.

Cornell is a good team, though. They had 9 road wins, were on a 10 game winning streak, and can shoot the three better than anybody else in the NCAA. KU clearly underrated them and were outplayed for 30 minutes of this game. Collins showed John Wall-like heroics, though, and won the game. I'm reasonably satisfied with his performance....Cornell is the kind of team that can definitely upset somebody in March.

Outside of Collins and Aldrich, though, it looked like the rest of them felt the pressure and struggled horribly. But to be honest...they need to have more of these situations in order to prepare them for the tournament...where the real pressure is.
