They were reacting the "handoff or whatever it was" If it was clean he was wide open, period.

Right. It was a desperation playcall that didn't really fool anyone and became a turnover touchdown to boot.

I don't even get how "tricky" that play was supposed to be. As soon as defenders see Mahomes playing running back, it's not really a surprise if he takes the handoff and passes the ball. That's why Kelce was doubled and James would have got lit the **** up if they passed it to him.

even though the offensive line sucks atm, there have been heaps of times where it was more on mahomes than others, lately...

he's not leaning into his throws, it's more back shoulder with a mix of side arm lately.

I think he’s pressing. It happens to even the best.

If he were a baseball player, he’d be swinging at pitches outside the zone, hitting weak groundouts instead of taking walks, etc.

And then Mahomes just doesn't trust many guys. WR group doesn't have much awareness. Kelce isn't open as often + teams just double him because why not. No one else is beating man coverage.

That was the big thing watching all the clips on Twitter today. It's not on one guy on any given play (though Wayna DID stand out, woof), on every play it's someone different dropping the ball. It's real, real bad.
