****OFFICIAL Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Chargers TNF Game Thread****

Everyone is talking about COVID-19 but have you heard of a DEADLY NEW DISEASE that originated in the GREAT STATE OF MISSOURI, WHERE MY FAVORITE FOOTBALL TEAM, THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS, ALSO PLAY?

We call this disease MAHOMESIASIS-15*

It is FATAL to ALL AFC West teams AND their fans outside Missouri.

Quote:
There have been eleven confirmed outbreaks of Mahomesiasis-15 around the country in the last several years, mostly in Los Angeles, Denver and Las Vegas. EACH TIME, this DEADLY NEW DISEASE kills approximately 70,000 people.

There were outbreaks in Oakland and San Diego and EVERYONE THERE DIED SO HARD those places are now UNINHABITABLE.

Even a slightly weaker strain of Mahomesias-15 devastated Mexico City.

PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES are at extremely HIGH RISK.

Symptoms: random burn marks, depression, shrinking of genitals, elevated estrogen levels.

WAIT WAIT I'M GETTING A REPORT FROM THE CENTERS FOR DEFENSE CONTROL!

OH MY GOD THERE'S AN OUTBREAK HAPPENING RIGHT NOW IN LOS ANGELES!

EVERYONE THERE IS GOING TO DIE!

*Please consult a doctor if your Mahomesiasis-15 lasts longer than this game thread.

In general; he appears to be a back who has less than average vision, little power, and the inability to fight off contact for extra yards. Not something you want to see when you've given up 1st round (granted...essentially 2nd round...but the point still remains) capital.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see anything that CEH does that late rounders or even undrafted FA can't. / haven't done. Perhaps I'm undervaluing his receiving ability, but.... even that, I just don't see it. Even if he catches passes consistently, the issue of being Brough down with little contact is still an issue.
CEH is a RB that tries to go through the Hole the play was designed for... even if that hole doesn't exist. There could be a giant pile of dudes, and CEH gets pulled right into it by their tractor beam.

Gore has shown us (in his small amount of opportunities) that he can witness a giant pile of asses, and bounce it to the outside.

Obviously Gore isn't going to get many reps this season, but hopefully by next season we see more of him, with CEH getting more catches out of the backfield. I do like CEH catching passes... I just haven't seen but a few plays of him having good vision.

We both spend a lot of time here, as evidenced by our post counts. But your digs at Mahomes this year have crossed a lot of threads - even after victories like this one - and I don't really understand it, given your post history before this season.
Ya, my digs on Mahomes have been totally uncalled for. The quotes you went back to find came from the Packers game when he completed 54% of his passes for 4.5 yards on average and we squeeked out a win against a Rodgerless Packers squad. His weekly QBR leading up to and including that game was 42.3, 51.3, 6.8, 19.4, and 45.3.

Nothing about it was uncalled for. He has for a big chunk of this season been playing quite poorly. Sorry you are too scared to admit that.

And none of those comments take away from my enjoyment in a win. It's calling a spade a spade. So like I said, you can go **** yourself on your high horse.

Mahomes has been forced to completely change up his style of play, and on top of that, NOT getting help from his receivers the majority of the season.
Obviously he has had a learning curve (The Packers game), but as you can see with time it's getting better, and that is good.

C'mon, man. This ain't it. If any poster on this forum, after watching Patrick since 2017, ever seriously implies that Chad Henne would be a better option for our offense than Patrick Mahomes, that's a different thing than calling a spade a spade - as is exaggerating his poor play tonight - as you did even after the game. It doesn't line up with your post history - and you know what? I'm calling a spade a spade here.

I know you arent saying I seriously implied Chad Henne would be a better option when I ****ing quoted you with that comment and simply said that the gameplan would have been completely different in the Packers game had Henne been in the game.

You are such a dumbass.

Yeah - it's why I remembered it. You were downplaying one of the greatest plays Mahomes made this season by implying that if Henne were QB would have already had the game won late in the game and wouldn't have needed Mahomes superhuman throw to seal it. Do I have that right? You downplayed Mahomes after the win, and are continuing to do it here.

Just gonna keep calling a spade a spade here, my dude. Call me a dumb*** all you want to.

... and it really wasn't even a bad game by Pat.

Obviously the 4th to Hardman was bad... and 1-2 passes that were short. (Common for every QB in the NFL EVER).

But some plays were just shitty 1-read designs that were busted up by the defense. The INT was a designed play with an AWESOME play by the Bolts DE. Sometimes you have to give the Defense credit.

Like the Chiefs defense tonight. They deserve some ****ing credit... Herbert doesn't deserve all the blame because he played well enough to win also. He was dragged down by stupid coaching decisions, a horrific fumble at the goal line, and many dropped passes. Stats don't tell the whole story.

It was also a shitty play call. So sick of shotgun on 4th and inches.

Does Andy realize you can have a fullback and a halfback on the field at the same time? And you can even have the fullback run ahead of the halfback as a blocker. Imagine!

How is a play call shitty when the receiver is wide the **** open for a TD and even Townsend has shown he can make that throw?
