IT ****ING HAPPENED
OP UPDATE: Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! Last edited by Dante84; 05-17-2017 at 09:40 AM.. |

Then also he had the Bengals on the ropes until Bienemy threw the grapefruit at him at halftime too. I mean just think about for a minute. |

Sometimes it's hard to believe that my team finally has the best QB in the league.
I started to think what positions, in the history of the NFL, have the Chiefs had the best player in the league playing for them. Not the best season at the position, but arguably the best player at that position. LT - Roaf RG - Shields RT - Schwartz RB - Holmes TE - Gonzalez, Kelce QB - Mahomes Defense will be harder for me, as I wasn't able to follow the entire league in the 70s and 80s due to my age and lack of access to media in any form. In my memory Cherry and Lewis were all-pros, but I don't know their league status, and I don't know if like Buchanan was ever considered the best at his position, etc. EDGE - DT (I know he was technically listed as a LB) CB - Lewis LB - Lanier S - Cherry DT - Buchanan, Jones Who did I miss? |

But I know that Darrell Green and Rod Woodson (and eventually Sanders) played at about the same time and I have a hard time thinking Lewis was better than those 3.

I think there's actually a better argument for this than people realize.
I don't think it was LONG, but in '68-'70 when Starr/Unitas/Jurgenson had fallen off and the next wave hadn't broken through yet (Foutes/Bradshaw) - it's either Len or Tarkenton, right? And I don't think it's a coincidence that was when we won the championship.
