Seeing as Bearcat banned me from the KU basketball thread for daring to use statistics to dispel the constant trashing of the team’s best player this year by far, I’ll need somewhere to put my thoughts for this year’s tournament.

In sum, the committee screwed KU again. Their resume (and wins) should have had them at at least a 6 seed and maybe even a 5. Arkansas is also the toughest matchup they could have had among possible opponents and KU matches up horribly against them (stay tuned as to why).

As far as the rest of the tournament goes, I’m picking Houston to win it all and Kentucky (fraud) to lose in the first or second round.

Billy Donovan back-to-back ('06-'07) probably disagrees a bit.

Edit: They also lost to Mich.St in 2000 in the finals.

All of Florida’s success has been from Kruger onward.

Alabama and LSU have had very marginal success, but that’s been for much longer than Florida.

Granted, I completely get why SEC fans wouldn't give a shit about Texas, OU, Missouri, A&M, etc.... just like I don't give a shit about (insert 10 new teams of the Big 12, including Colorado because I didn't give a shit the first time either).

Not going to stick my nose up to them or anything, it's just hard to care until if/when rivalries are formed by KU and other teams being good at the same time in the same sport.

Nope...just me pointing out something I have stated before.....there are still factions within the old SEC that see all the additions as a subtraction.

That graphic is wild!

Saw something yesterday that said more than 800 players or something like that have already entered the transfer portal since the end of the season. Which I believe was a 250%-ish increase from just last year. Would be an absolute nightmare being a coach and hoping for any continuity these days in college ball.
