Dragon Age 2

Trailer premiered at gamescom a few minutes ago, seems like a good time for its own thread.

Have you done the quest where you fight that blood mage yet?

Trying to fight the templars afterwards...impossible.

I don't think so. The only blood mage I've seen was Leech, and there weren't any templars involved with that.

I'm sure the Deep Roads are going to be a complete bitch, too.

I guess not playing in batshit-crazy-difficult mode has another side effect - I'm already in Act 3 at level 19.

Yeah, I have yet to get to Act 2. I didn't even know there were acts.

I think i've done nearly every side quest there is before getting Anders. We'll see...

I think it's part of the Wayward Son quest line..Thrask asks you to catch a few apostate mages in a cave.

I didn't play much tonight, but it seems a lot easier all of a sudden. I did Isabela's initial quest and Fenris' initial quest and had zero trouble at all. That probably means the next time I play is going to be a bitch.

It's pretty crazy. I have like 35 hours played and I'm only halfway to level 11, still in act 1.

I'm sitting at 19 hours, and I just hit level 10. What the hell have you been doing, leaving yourself in game afk?

I'm a Force/Blood Mage combo. Pull of the Abyss ---> Hemorrhage ---> Chain Lightning = lots of dead Templars.

I was trying to get the 'no unconscious companions for a year' achievement for the first probably 15 hours, so I had to restart a lot of encounters. I also had to go back and re-do 3-4 hours of the game because I hadn't saved before I tried and failed the Anders quest the first time. The game seems to continue to calculate your total time played even if you go back to an earlier save. I'd have to test it to make sure, but I think if I went back to my very first save on the very first map it would still say my time played is what it is now nearing the end of Act 1. And I like to go back and play through conversations to see what the different responses are. Not usually to min-max (although I do that occasionally), just to see what they are

Plus I just move slowly. It took me nearly 90 hours to complete Origins the first time...

Yeah - might as well get that achievement on Easy (if you can). I haven't even glanced at the achievements yet.

Looks like I was wrong about that. Guess I'm just a slow mover.

I always save when I level up, it's interesting seeing how much longer it's taking me per level as I get further into the game:

02 0:27
03 1:16
04 2:25
05 3:45
06 5:48
07 12:50
08 18:33
09 23:23
10 30:48

I'm at 33 something now, about halfway to 11. I wonder what I was doing at level 7. I think that was when I was exploring Kirkwall, trying to find the different "Band of Three" entries (look in your journal under 'The Enigma of Kirkwall").
