Calm down.

It's only been like 5 years.

2 SB Championships, 2 League MVP's, 2 SB MVP's, 5 straight division titles, 5 straight conference championships, 5 straight pro bowls, a couple of All-Pros, 1 Offensive player of the year, S.I Sportsman of the Year, a Bert Bell award, a couple of passing titles and co-ownership of the KC Royals.

And he's broken or tied the following records:

NFL records
Consecutive 300-plus passing yard games: 8 (tied)
Consecutive double digit deficits overcome including playoffs: 6
Fastest to 10,000 career passing yards: 34 games
Fastest to 15,000 career passing yards: 49 games
Fastest to 20,000 career passing yards: 67 games
Fastest to 100 career touchdowns: 40 games
Career playoff passer rating (minimum 150 attempts): 107.4
Career passer rating (minimum 1,500 attempts): 105.7
Career passing yards per game (minimum 1,500 attempts): 303.0
Passing yards in a player's first 50 games: 15,348
Passing touchdowns in a player's first 50 games: 125
Passing touchdowns in a postseason: 11 (2021) (tied)
Total touchdowns (passing and rushing) in a postseason: 12 (2019, 2021)
Total yards (passing and rushing) in a season: 5,608 (2022)

Chiefs franchise records
Touchdown passes in a game: 6 (2018, tied)
Touchdown passes in a season: 50 (2018)
Passing yards in a season: 5,250 (2022)
Passing yards in a playoff game: 404 (2021–22 playoffs)
Attempts in a game: 68 (2022)
Completions in a game: 43 (2022)
Career rushing touchdowns by a quarterback: 12

Pump the brakes. Lets see what he looks like 10 years from now before we judge, ok?

Sheesh, man.

Lets also be real here...he doesn't really "need" the money.

If you tally up his earnings on Spotrac Mahomes has earned 79.4 million dollars and Forbes believes he made 20 million dollars in just endorsements last year.

Interesting that Patrick mentioned Sneed as a guy that is in the "pay to keep" discussion.

I do not know if Patrick would drop a name, unless that name has been mentioned by Veach to him or his agent as a re-sign priority.

Don't forget that the while the NFL game checks end when he retires, the endorsement checks go on. The more he wins, the more popular he is and the more endorsements he'll get. Sounds like a damn good reason to surround himself with talent.

Come on. How many quarterbacks have his attitude? He practiced at my kid's high school in NKC last week! He owns part of the Royals. Everything this man does off the field makes me proud.

And he's the best ever, football Jesus.

So "let's be real" and be amazed that the best to do it is humble and willing to sacrifice for the team. Because that sure as hell is not a given.

#blest.

Not to mention that with the salary cap in place getting more money means your teammates get less. Mahomes should be lauded for making more available to his teammates.

Yeah, I like Sneed and hope they can keep him. His versatility is harder to replace.
