*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

But given that the Bears traded up to get Trubisky, they wouldn't want other teams to start trying to trade up. Why would they want other teams to think they're going to take him? They had the #3 pick to start with. The only subterfuge would be to try to get some other team to trade up to #1 or #2 for Patrick so they could be more likely to get Trubisky at #3.
I assume it was for smokescreen purposes. They probably hoped Mahomes would leak something at the time. This would have hidden their intentions with Trubisky. If I remember right, the Jets and others were pretty interested in Trubisky.

i gotta say, i thought mahomes was gonna have to do something crazy in that game, that his insane will to win was gonna result in another goal line dunk on the bengals or something.....but nope, just his normal talent level and kinda executing plays the way he normally does was plenty

that boy good...and he protected himself

I love hearing these stories. Could you just tell us everything he said verbatim?
That would be fascinating.

That's why he didn't take the shot before the game.

He probably wanted the pain so he wouldn't make his leg worse.

A lot of dumb teams were obsessed with Trubisky.

Buffalo Bills wined and dined Trubisky and when Chicago took him were fine with trading the pick to KC for Mahomes.

That dude is awesome. I seriously doubt it's true but he expertly played into those rumors he stole Kanye away from Kim.
