*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I know Kollman isn't universally loved around here, but I always enjoy his breakdowns.

With that thumbnail, I expected a hype video rather than a Kollman video. Nice watch though and interesting to see that man beater concert in contrast to the other video I saw showing them stacking 4 receivers to one side to beat zone. They just seem to have an answer to everything.

great breakdown of:

mahomes dicing up the cover 4 with deep middle routes

dicing up cover 3 with almost instant corner kelce routes

doing a MUCH BETTER job of being aware of his pocket depth this year

no more 11-12 yard dropbacks

I always like his breakdown of plays and games, but especially liked coming back to the drop-back issue of a year or two ago to show the continuous improvement and the relatively little things that help Mahomes continue to get even better.

Along with the added patience and working with whatever the defense gives them.

Think about a kid who comes into the league and suddenly makes the offense insanely better... takes Brady to OT of the AFCCG, then wins a SB the following season.

And the kid isn't saying he needs better receivers or running backs or for the defense to do something... he's just worried about making himself better, like the rest of us thought that was even possible.

I still remember that sideline throw against the broncos in his rookie year that told me he was the "one"

Yep. I saw it being built like a year ago when delivering packages there (work for FedEx). Hopefully I'll be able to deliver some shit to him when he moves in.

Aaron Donald is paying the price for a penalized sack on Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Donald was fined $15,914 for unnecessary roughness for a facemask penalty when he sacked Mahomes in last week’s game.

For real? I think he's great and could probably coach an NFL team because he knows so much and is really smart.
