It's good to hear guys start saying, Mahomes is the best, we need to stop looking for his replacement.
I mean, the hot take factories won't. That's what they do. And we need to be careful not to discount Allen, and to a lesser extent Herbert and Burrow, because they are really ****ing good, and can obviously knock us off. Or you can just tune out media like yours truly. |

Oh for sure JB, Herbert and Burrow and Allen are all really good players.
Hot take of mine though, I just don't like Allen's running. I dont' want my QB running the ball like that. If it's the fourth quarter and it's 3rd and 7 and you can take off and get a first and get out of bounds or slide, yes. But stop taking hits. You can't keep doing that and not break down. It's just not possible, I don't care how big you are. If I'm picking a QB not Mahomes, I think I'm taking Burrow. |

If I’m forced to pick a QB that isn’t Mahomes it’s probably Herbert. He has such a bland offensive coach that it makes it so much harder for him. Plus Keenan Allen is pretty much a part time player.
If I’m the Chargers I fire Staley and go after Shane Waldron or Mike Kafka to install a strong offense. You’re not beating us with a defensive coach

Herbert hasn't proven out to be clutch. He's kinda been the opposite of that. Allen has the clutch gene.

I would take Allen if not Mahomes. That is taking into account their current coaches. Herbert might be awesome with Andy as his head coach, but it is so hard to get past the Chargers taint with him. It really will be too bad if the kid never gets to play for an offensive minded coach. They are wasting some very good talent.

That playoff game last year he was clutch af. With 13 seconds left you're suppose to win that. He shows up in the biggest games.

I'm not saying he sucks, but that playoff game isn't a good example. Our DBs forgot how to run without falling down, and he still lost despite having the #1 defense.

He did it again this year at Arrowhead. 99 yard TD drive to end the first half. Clutch TD drive to take the lead at the end of the game as well. The guy ain’t perfect (ahem…Vikings game) but nobody is perfect.
