Anybody looked into Helium (HNT)? The chart got me interested, did a little research and decided I'm going to grab a starter here in the $30 area and add if it comes down to the $22-$23 area risking $17ish.

I'm such a boomer.

There should be a crypto mutual fund type guy. He can aggressively just do all the leg work and put a bunch of money in alts when everything is booming and pull it out before then. Too much work for me. Only have hard wallets. Would get more alts if it wasn't so hard to keep them in hard wallets. I guess I'm just paranoid. I ain't keepin' 7 digits on a ****ing exchange - or having it sent to and from my hard wallets - ever - until I'm ready to cash the rest of it in.

Remember the scene in Caddyshack when the employees got there swim time? It's like that.

None of this is good for crypto's overall mission and perception. Let's hope it ends soon. Hell, this supposed LRC/GME announcement will have the biggest impact on me than anything previous so it will run it's course and they'll look elsewhere to fund their short squeeze addiction.

Come and get me, you damn dirty apes! Then go back to your ****ing cages.

I'm pretty pissed off.
What is the Cat coin called? There are all these stupid Dog coins like Doge, Shiba Inu, and the one named after Elon's dog. I hate dogs, I'll invest in the cat one. I hope it has a nice cartoon mascot, that is important.

If I were you, I'd throw a bunch of cash at Urban Meyer Lap Dance coin (yes, that's real). It's found it's floor and consolidating and about to MOOOOOOOON!

Cumster coin (real too) is looking ready to explode as well. Pun intended. I'm bullish af for this one. I'm gonna get me TWO Lambos.

Well, I've not made a million yet on cyber currency betting on the Dogs coins.

BUT....I invested in SOL on 10/20; and when profits reach 50%, I pulled the $4,500 out.

$4,500 in 18 days.....Stunning number.

I'm going to take that profit, convert to GUSD to get an 8.88% return on Celsius; then invest in BTC or ETH the next 10% or more mini-dip. Also thinking of putting it into DOT.

I've created a profit feeding system where I take profit from top ten coins such as SOL, DOT, and MATIC to feed the long term stability coins of BTC and ETH.

Would like to gamble on ICOs eventually; probably will never gamble on meme coins such as the Dogs and now Cat.

Eyes open... There is a rumor that HR 4741 was part of the infrastructure bill.

I found the bill here:
https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-...bill/4741/text

Something to note:

It deems all coins with "any fundraising or capital formation activity (including initial coin offerings) which is accomplished through the issuance of such a digital asset" as securities. Over 90% of cryptocurrencies would be securities if this is the case. Further, HR 4741 rugs stable coins, by stating "no person may issue, use, or permit to be used a digital asset fiat-based stablecoin that is not approved by the Secretary of the Treasury."

If you have coins behind a stable coin trading pair, this law would put you at risk the moment it's signed.

I have not yet been able to confirm that HR 4741 is in the infrastructure bill yet. I've been scouring around trying to locate confirmation of this. It won't affect me, as I've long been anticipating this to be the case and got out of everything except XRP. But I thought people should be aware that there could be some turbulence ahead.

Stay frosty...

I spent a lot of time looking into the infrastructure bill tonight to corroborate the rumor and came up empty. All I could find is "Cryptoasset Reporting." The bill seems to be concerned with making sure that crypto assets are properly reported and that they have enough IRS agents to track down the money and round it up. I wouldn't call it a false alarm though because HR4741 is a real thing and it does just as I said: classifies ICO coins as securities and eliminates all stable coins until they're registered with the treasury department. This is a bill that anyone with cryptoassets wants to keep an eye on.

Crypto gains will be tracked and taxed. Coins that resemble securities will be classified as such. This is not heavy handed regulation but pissed off true Libertarians that thought all crypto would circumvent the existing system.

The best advice I can give to newbies in this thread is to do the exact opposite of what Taco suggests.

So, I have like $3-10 worth of smaller coins (GRT, AMP, CLV, FET, COMP) through coinbase videos that I have been watching and getting rewards...

Do you guys convert those to BTC immediately? I say that because all of them are growing in value... and I am unsure if I should keep those there or move them over.

How do you guys handle what to convert to? Are there other things I should be converting these smaller ones into: ALDO, ADA, SOL?

It's such a small amount, I'd just leave them in those... and if someday one of them blows up like BTC or ETH... you are good.

It's highly unlikely... but YEAH...

Convert them to Shib so you'll have something with huge potential
