On a related note, when did everyone become lazy to the extent of simply claiming "refs" every time the Chiefs win? Yeah, it's dishonest, but it's the laziness that makes it that much more pathetic.

The problem is that the refs are not perfect. They are going to miss calls, or make the wrong one. Couple that with a team people are tired of and this is what you get. We weren’t much different with the Brady era Pats/Bucs although a good portion of his Pats career had less social media.

I get other fans being jelly of us for the Taylor swift effect. I can’t believe any chiefs fans would be resentful of it. Lots of freaking out over a few seconds of camera time that doesn’t take a single thing away from the game. They’ve been showing celebrities at every lakers game for decades. I really don't care much about Taylor Swift one way or the other, but the fact that other teams' fans are so upset about her makes me smile.

Everything is a conspiracy, and if the outcome people were hoping for wasn’t achieved, then it must have rigged.

We see it in politics these days (from both sides of the aisle) and we see it in sports.

It allows people to connect with like minded individuals immediately though and provides ample “evidence” (lol) to support their confirmation bias.

People have always had these thoughts individually, but what social media does is further validate these thoughts in people’s minds because they see others agreeing with them and can find any “evidence” they need to support their belief if they seek it out.
