Walt Disney World

My wife and I will be taking 2 small children to Walt Disney World in Florida in 2 weeks. I get to go as a bonus thru my work. We are staying at the Hilton. My question is what is the weather like down there in January? Any good ideas on what to see and do with twins that are 2 years old? I am kind of looking forward to it. A chance to get out of Iowa in January. Oh well, enought blabbing. Any responses are greatly appreciated.

Sorry...I typed Matterhorn and meant Everest. The only problem with Dinosaur is that they haven't changed the ride...it's boring to my kids.

I do AK in 4 hours and that includes It's a Bug's Life and The Circle of Life show

forgot about Bugs life. We did that too. Not the Circle of Life though. We will catch that the next time we go. In about 4 years. I agree that Dino isn't much of a repeat ride but we always ride it once.

Are you staying on-property, and if so, where?

Yea...I want to stay on disney property this time. Never tried it. Looking at one of those resorts that has a monorail stop. That would be really convient for a midday break.

I would love to stay at the Grand Floridian someday but that will have to be after we are done taking kids as that is way beyond our budget right now.

That's the Contemporary...right next to the Magic Kingdom. The nice thing about that hotel is that you can see the fireworks of MK every night from the upstairs balcony...but only if you are a guest at that hotel. Also...Chef Mickey's is there.

I stayed at the Grand Floridian while at a business meeting this past March. With that stay I can now say that I have stayed at every Disney hotel there.

To be honest...the GF is nice, but I like the Wilderness Lodge and the Animal Kingdom Lodge better.

Make sure you ride the boats to Dowtown Disney....and when you are on the river watch for the refurbished TreeHouses. I hear they have redone them nicely.

I stayed at the Port Orleans when it was 2 resorts....Port Orleans and Dixie Landings.

The only place to go for good information....

3 questions:

1) Anyone going with you that has any disability?
2) Anyone going with you that has any food allergies?
3) Anyone having a birthday or anniversary?

If so...let me know and I will give you a little scoop on those.
