Went to Outlaw Armageddon in OKC this weekend. Snuck down to the start line and hung out for a few hours. Saw Big Chief, Chuckie, Murder Nova, Doc, all down at the start line as well as various crew members etc....may actually be on an upcoming episode of Street Outlaws. I know I'm in some on line videos they posted on the Outlaw Armageddon FB page.
I'll post video later tonight. We are in the way home right now. |

I've been out driving an old boy's cars all morning. Got them all charged up, fueled up, fluids checked and then drove the piss out of them lol. Also put a hydraulic hose on job his tractor. Basically got his whole fleet going.
The old model a hadnt been started in 3 years and i threw a battery in it and i bet it didnt roll over 10 times before it was running like a sewing machine. 6 volt positive ground system. 35-40 is about as fast i wanted to go in it lol. We had a good time. |

Started some new projects this weekend on my old truck.
Been prepping to put POR-15 on the floorpans , then lay new carpet. Coil springs, brakes, discs, wheel bearing and shocks on front. Have a clunk when stepping on gas in my rear end that has me concerned. U-joints are solid, so I don't think it is that. Yoke has some play on rotation that to me, seems a bit much. But it is all tight. Changed the gear oil with some Lucas. Going to see if that helps. If the fluid change doesn't help, going to look for a serviceable Dana 60. Presently it has a Dana 61. Crate Dana 60's are overpriced IMO. |

Anyone interested in a '64 'cuda? 273 V8, a904 push button automatic exclusive to '64, all the chrome and insignias, lots o' rust, side glass and rear window intact, body is straight but again lots o' rust. Fairly intact interior, no radio or ashtray and some knobs are missing. Seats and carpet are meh. All the outside lights are intact manual brakes and steering, ignition has been upgraded to electronic. Critters have enjoyed the facilities. Located in NEKS. It has all the parts just a really rough body.

My truck got struck by lightning last night. There is absolutely no power to anything except the passenger side power seat and the right taillight is now stuck on. Everything else is DEAD. Got towed away today. I really like this truck but no way do I keep it after this. Time to shop for an 18 Raptor, I guess.

Wow it's like getting hit with an emp. Good luck on the repairs. If they total it I wonder what the buyback would be.
That is wild I have never heard of anyone having their rig being hit by lightning. |

It still books for quite a bit so I highly doubt they total it. I hope they do though, so I can be back in a truck soon. There are no burn marks etc. that I could see. It was pretty crazy!

I'm guessing every switch, module, electic motor, etc. are cooked. I think it is likely that they total it. Repairs could run 30k.
Btw you can force them to total it if you can show that it will reduce resale enough or if repairs are over 30% (?) Of value. Someone in the insurance field can probably give you the correct percentages. |

Quick question for you guys
A buddy of mine is wanting to sell his 2004 Tahoe Z71 with the 5.3 and right around 100,000 on it..I'm not to worried about the motor I know lots of 5.3 that have went well into the 200,000..my question is are there any problems that come with that year of Tahoe Body is rust free and the frame has a few spots of surface rust it's in really good shape He says he will sell it to me for $4200 and by looking at KBB and NADA that's a really good deal..I would keep the vehicle around since the old lady has 2 kids of her own and then my 2 kids and this has the 3rd row in it |
