Well, right or wrong... you still have to account for the Rooney rule, no?

If you fire a minority I don’t know if you need to go by the Rooney rule but I could be wrong

I dunno... but, I doubt the first name we hear is the first on their list. It's just the first name we hear.

Wherever KnowMo is, he must be completely drowning in the misery of the Chiefs winning their third-straight division title, being the toast of the league and the team everyone wants to see in the Super Bowl out of the AFC, while the Broncos had another embarrassing losing season, have absolutely no light at the end of the tunnel and are completely ignored and irrelevant in everyones' minds.

When I think of good HC options....I think of the Steelers offensive line coach and the Patriots defensive coordinator.

Bet the Broncos wish they could go back in time and work out a deal for that #2 pick in the 2018 draft. Now they're stuck in purgatory with no real way to get a franchise QB this year.

This site runs down a few interesting options...
https://www.milehighreport.com/2018/..._mr2RcNgre700Q I would be interested in learning more on the following options. I believe I'm more apt to go with an offensive mind over defensive for HC. Matt LaFleur, Tennessee Titans Offensive Coordinator Zac Taylor, Los Angeles Rams Quarterbacks Coach Pete Carmichael, New Orleans Saints Offensive Coordinator Freddie Kitchens, Browns Offensive Coordinator

On the local news yesterday, I think they interviewed some "average fan" coming out of the game. I wasn't looking at the TV, but it sounded like someone being interviewed at a game. They asked him what he thought about Vance Joseph, and his response made me cackle.
He said, "Well, Mike Shanahan is someone we could bring in, but I've heard that we're also looking at Norv Turner." If you're not on the floor rolling with laughter right now, I can't help you.

Looks like the Broncos will be drafting in the 10 spot. Luckily the top four don't need a QB because they just drafted one with possibly the Raiders at #4 being the exception. Now at #5 Tampa, #6 Giants, #7 Jags might be in for one. With a weak QB class there may only be 1 or 2 QBs worthy of a top 10 pick. Will elway leap to #4 and get it wrong again?
I hope so. |
