There are a lot of things to take into account when you're making a top 10 list. Age, consistency over the last few years, performance in the most recent year, peak, etc.
I'll assume I'm ranking the top 10 QBs in the NFL if I just wanted to win one game, all other things being equal: 1. Mahomes 2. Rodgers 3. Brady 4. Allen 5. Herbert 6. Burrow 7. Stafford 8. Wilson 9. Lamar Jackson 10. Prescott I think that's a good list. 1-4 are pretty much interchangeable. 5-7 are a step down but all have elite potential. 8-10 are all good QBs. After the top 10 you take another step down. 10-15 or so would be a jumbled mess including guys like Carr, Tannehill, Cousins, Murray, Matt Ryan, Wentz, etc. |

Well like I said, I think Mahomes, Allen, Rodgers and Brady are pretty interchangeable, all things being equal.
I gave the slight edge to Rodgers over Brady because Brady had the best supporting cast last season. For most of the year, Brady had a top 5 OL, three WR1s (two of whom have the numbers to make the HoF one day) and a HoF TE. Even Mahomes with a top 5 OL along with Kelce and Hill can't claim to have gotten so much help. Plus Brady was a bit of a stat whore last year. He attempted 719 passes, which is absurd. Rodgers only attempted 531. If you extrapolate Rodgers' numbers over 719 passes he'd have ended up with roughly 5,500 yards (to Brady's 5,300), 50 TDs (to Brady's 43), and only 6 INTs (to Brady's 12). Not to mention Rodgers is the reigning back-to-back MVP. That sort of thing doesn't happen by accident. |

Rodgers: Shits himself in the playoffs Mahomes: Shits himself if he has to check down Allen: Shits himself if he has to play Mahomes.

He's played in 22 playoff games so he's got some duds. That's just going to happen. Peyton Manning had duds, Brady has some duds, and Mahomes just picked a couple up in his last two postseasons. It will happen to every QB. That said, Rodgers has lost playoff games in which his defense has allowed 51, 37, 45, 44, 37, and 31 points. Just for fun, I checked into Brady's postseason games as well. Dude's defenses have only allowed 31+ points SIX times. Six times out of FORTY-SEVEN games! He's 2-4 in those matches lol I am past the point of hating Brady as he is clearly a very good QB, but his whole career is so ****ing comically lucky it's bordering on fraudulent. |

That's a stat and a half. Really Changes the perspective on things. The least points the D has given up in the playoffs with Rogers is 31 points? The most we have given up is the 37 to the Pats and 36 to the Bills. The Most!

Rodgers has lost 10 playoff games total. In six of those that he lost, his defenses gave up those numbers. The other four losses were much more palatable: 23, 28, 26, and 13. Obviously Rodgers blew dicks in last year's postseason in the snow only mustering 10 points after an MVP season. The year prior he choked after Brady threw three second-half INTs and he basically couldn't do dick with the extra possessions. I'm just offering some perspective. Brady has played in 47 postseason games. Only 6 times has his defense given up 30+ points and Brady is 2-4 in those games. Rodgers has played in 22 postseason games. 7 times his defense gave up 30+ points and Rodgers is 1-6 in those games. Mahomes has played in 11 postseason games. 4 times his defenses gave up 30+ points and Mahomes is 2-2 in those games. Josh Allen's played in 6 postseason games. 2 times his defense gave up 30+ points and Allen is 0-2 in those games. |

Basically, Brady has been insanely lucky in the postseason. To play that many games, as a member of so many different squads, and to only have had your defense allow 30+ points around 10% of the time..? He has the biggest horseshoe shoved up his ass.
Conversely, Rodgers has been pretty unlucky. Or at least he was early on in his career. In his first three career playoff losses, his defenses allowed an average of like 45 PPG. Allen has been unlucky to run into Mahomes in the postseason lol those 2 times his defense gave up 30+ were both to KC. Mahomes has been pretty unlucky in that he's run into the luckiest man on the planet in Brady. Otherwise he hangs dong on anyone else who challenges him to a shootout. |
