Original thread was getting to large for the board

2011 WS Championship
2012 one win from another WS
2013 two wins from another WS title
2014 Central Division title and NLCS series win (so far)

This is a franchise that has made the postseason 10 times in the last 14 seasons.

Only 1 losing season since 2000.

Reached the World Series 4 times since 2004 and won as many championships (two) the past eight seasons as it did from 1965 to 2005.

Our new Manager has more post season experience than any other manager in baseball, except the Giants manager.

Made the NLCS 8 times

Three million attendance? Take it to the bank.

60 post season wins since 2004. 20+ wins more than any other team.

Yeah, I've been able to ban people from the Cardinal thread for maybe, 7 years or so. But, as you can see its rarely used. Maybe 2 posters over that time.

It takes years of abuse and then its usually a 14 day ban. I'm just not a big believer in banning people from threads or from boards unless they give you no choice after multiple chances.

We usually neg repped the troll into the red but we haven't done that in awhile.

Yes, it depends on where you are though and the momentum of your body. He stood up, stepped on the bag (as any other player would and should). The execution was poor, he probably should have glanced at third, after he stepped on first, a good throw gets him at second regardless. That is a tough throw, but one you have to make.

Adams didn't give himself a good angle. He needed to make a quick step to the left and give himself a clear angle to the bag. Or just look the runner back at third.

Adams play isn't significant if Miller is pulled when he is getting hammered hard.

The runner was watching Adams and headed back to 3rd base when Adam's dumbass threw to 2nd.

It was simply a mistake you can't afford to make.

If he steps on the bag and then looks the runner back he can still make that play.

Managerial stupidity cocked that up from the start.

Wrong pitcher was in to start the inning.
Infield should not have been brought in at that point.

If Adams plays back on the first grounder, the run scores, but there are two outs and the game is tied. Then the next grounder becomes a routine play to first and the inning is over.

That doesn't excuse his play, and he should have looked to third rather than throwing to second, but it certainly didn't help matters.

Situations where it is acceptable to bring in the infield, IMO:

8th inning or later of a tie game
6th inning or later of a one run game with the bases loaded.

It met neither of those criteria.
