I wonder how many of my brethren are seriously holding out hope for that 6 seed, sitting one win back in a mix of 5 other teams?

Remember in the year that Haley got fired, the Chiefs were on a 3-game losing streak or something like that, and they had a MNF game against the Chargers? Gruden was all, "Philip Rivers this... Philip Rivers that... he's so good... yadda yadda yadda"
That was the game Rivers fumbled away the kneel-down, allowing KC to get a last second field goal to go to overtime and win. |

And in my opinion, that should've crowned Rivers as "King Loser" of the entire NFL. Everybody was having a yuck at the Mark Sanchez butt fumble, but the TRUE idiot loser tard QB is and forever shall be Philip Rivers, because he disguises himself as a franchise QB that gives his team hope.
Fumbling away the kneel down. The whole point of kneeling down is to PREVENT a turnover or other freak occurrence and just let the clock run out. THAT is the mark of a true loser. |

I just want to see a team with heart - showed flashes yesterday, Sutton looked good in spots. He's still waiting on his breakout game. Top 5 teams have 7 wins and I would think that barring injury, PIT/NE/HOU/LAC are jockeying for position. It's KC's HFA to lose at this point. There are 6 teams with 5 or 4 wins and none of them, outside IND looks great and they have their own bag of issues, but the offense can roll and my guess is they'll find their way to the #6 seed. CIN/BAL/TEN .... I think they start to freefall and along with MIA and DEN will fall into the bulk of the "could have beens". Denver has PIT / @ CIN / @ SFF / CLE / @ OAK / LAC ... great group of teams to end with and they have a shot at .500, but at this point I'm not too overly concerned with the wins. I just want to see the young guys step up and play well, makes the outlook for 2019 better through a long offseason.

It's also human nature to be guarded when a plan you try totally fails. In the donks case, that was their failed first round QB. Now they turn to "proven vet" guys, and that just doesn't generally workout for anything other than a mediocre level of play. I get why GM's do it though. It's hard to hit on drafted QB's for one, and the lure of a guy that has been around seems more of a safe bet. The problem is, when talking veteran QB's, is that there is a reason a team lets them leave. That team sees them every day at practice. They see the warts other teams might not see as much. So, bottom line is this. Elway either spends a bunch of picks to move way up, get lucky, and get a solid guy to move forward with, or stick with Keenum, watch this Defense age, and sit between 6-10 and 10-6 for the next 3 years. In 3 years Von Miller will be about done. He's a generational guy, they don't grow on trees. Same with Harris. I really don't see the donks being super competitive for quite some time |

I got this weird feeling that Smellway will keep VJ another year thinking he can avoid admitting a mistake by installing Kubes as OC and hoping he can patch the shit.

Broncos helped you guys yesterday as Rivers pulled another Rivers at our Vacation home in CA.
Good luck tonight. Either way you are pretty well ensured the division and probably the 1st seed. It is a fun place to be, enjoy it. |
