Off Season Lets Talk Guns, Part 2

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Did some horse trading for most of it. Actual out of pocket is less than half of retail price. That's mostly why I did it in the first place.

What level of security are you looking for? Just to keep kids out? Or keeping out actual criminals?

I was eyeing one of these a few months ago. As I recall I didn't really care for the bulk of it, but mainly I couldn't justify the expense, since I already have an expensive high capacity shotgun. Of course, my Versa Max with the extended tube is about as far from a bullpup as you can get; it's almost 4 1/2 feet long.

I liked the feel of the Keltec much better, as well as the price, but couldn't get past the name Keltec. Ultimately, I decided to buy a new carry pistol instead, which I certainly get far more use out of than another shotgun I'd hardly ever shoot.

This is my next purchase (I think):

A Kriss Vector gen2 pistol caliber carbine. Saw this thing in the hands of the master, Jerry M., and decided what the hell. Doesn't really serve a purpose, but I think it would be loads of fun, plus it looks kind of like a blaster from Star Wars.

What is the boards experience with modifying/accurizing the Ruger 10/22 into a for real 100 yard tack driver? I think I may want to play with this a bit.

Honestly, I had a Ruger when I was about 10? 11?.....great small gun for plinking, rabbits, squirrels, etc. I have no idea whatsoever as to what happened to it over the years..

I am, however, a BIG fan of .22 pistols. Have been ever since my days in the Cold War. Unfortunately, they were used for something a tad bigger than squirrels....

Now that you brought this up - I think I will purchase an AR-7. Would be very useful in a "survival" situation.
