Pro Bowl LT DJ Humphries Medically Cleared [signed by Chiefs]

Does Veach give him a call?

It's easy to see that they want Humphries to be in camp and ready for the games against Crosby, TJ Watts. Garrett and Denvers guy.

Imagine having 2 different good LT's (Humphries and Morris)that could sub in and out and wear down the pass rush guys like them.

I wouldn't call Wanya "good," but he'd be decent backup/swing tackle in case of injury.

If Toney had been offsides on any play other than the craziest Chiefs TD of the year...no one would have remembered.

His record setting return in the SB made that trade 100% worth it...he must have had really bad juju to fall out of favor to the level he did. The fans turned him faster than I've ever seen on a single player...he had talent.
You guys can keep saying that but it will never make it true.

It was a good play by your defender, but Hill’s hand placement, like it was several times through the year, was questionable on that play and there’s a good chance the ball would have went through his hands with or without your CB’s play on the ball. Stronger hands and a more assertive play at the ball likely makes that a catch, but for whatever reason Hill’s hands failed him at the most inopportune times from the Tampa Super Bowl and throughout 2021.

Eli Apple’s play on Hill, unfortunately, was the turning point of that entire game (and very likely the butterfly effecting moment that led us to trade Hill).

yeah, I just don't see why you'd give a lot of snaps to a guy that has made MANY highlight reels for the top DEs. He has been physically manhandled too many times this year. He wasn't even his college team's LT, why would he be considered even a partial solution for the Chiefs? He was a RT that was project to move inside to G at the pro level. I'd like to see him excel at G next year, as they seem to like him.

I remember reading an article about Toney when he was traded. The story talked about Toney, even as a rookie, purposely lining up last for every individual drill in practice because he knew, at best, they don’t get through two rotations of the positional drill…let alone one before they are onto the next drill. They also talked about him sleeping through meetings, etc.

It’s more than just his game day issues.

Yup. When we released him, I recall Veach saying he wished Toney the best of luck, but intimated that he didn’t do much to prepare himself in the off season, or something to that effect.

Great that we got this done. He can rest through the Panthers, but hopefully will be ready for the Raiders and Max.

He spent the off season trying to be a rapper.

Would be interesting if this guy can be the solution for a couple years.

Wanya can move to Trey Smith’s guard spot when some team pays him way too much.

Kingsley can develop as a swing tackle.

I would swap Kingsley and Morris.

Move Kingsley into Trey spot and Morris is the swing tackle.

For as athletic as Kingsley is he really struggles moving backwards (kick step, pass pro). But he excels moving forward and laterally. Which screams guard.

He doesn't need to be great...just decent in splitting time with Humphries if Humphries turns out to be good.

Frustrating the good rushing DE's tends to take them out.of their rhythm.....and they start doing silly things that make them become ineffective.

You can make guys like Crosby neutral if you get inside his head....and imagine what Patrick Mahomes can do when he isn’t worried about running from guys like Crosby.
