Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

That play is really on Mahomes. That should have been a quick pass into the end zone or you throw that one into the dirt then kick the field goal.
I figured Andy would have an assortment of quick hitters to the end zone and we might actually get 3 plays if necessary. Should've been 28-10 easy. Then on the last drive of regulation they should've scored the go-ahead TD too. It was just a massive choke by Mahomes like we've rarely seen. Whatever Popeye spinach he had flowing through him vs Pittsburgh and Buffalo ran out with 9 seconds to go in the first half of the AFC Championship game.

Even the 2000 Ravens and 1985 Bears had a game where they were lit up.

And the stat does something when 48 out of 55 SB winners were top 10 in scoring defense.

How many sacks did we have this year? DPI's? How about 3rd down conversion rate?

This defense was not good period. Every upper tier QB we played ****ing torched us. PERIOD....

Misleading stat. There are so many categories for scoring defense.

For giggles though, KC statistically ranked 15th or worse in most scoring defense categories. They were not a top 10 scoring defense.

Historically bad. With the window dressing of a mild 2nd half schedule to fool the blind.

And all this because Andy ****ed up and called a timeout before challenging.
Seems more often than not when this situation arises in a game the refs give the TO back. I've seen that happen many times but on Championship Sunday they decided not to. That said we lost this game because of redzone execution.

According to my Facebook memories, we won Super Bowl 54 2 years ago today. Seeing that made me a little sad, but for perspective:

In the four seasons that Mahomes has been starting, we've hosted four straight Championship games, went to two Super Bowls, and won one Super Bowl. Literally going to the AFCCG 100% of the time, going to the Super Bowl 50% of the time and winning the Super Bowl 25%.

Even Tom Brady went to the Super Bowl less than half the time he was in the league and won the Super Bowl about 30% of the time.

We've had a pretty decent run with ol' Patty cakes. These last four seasons have been SO much more fun than the ones that preceded them. Remember consistently getting bounced in the Wild Card Round? lol

Came here to post that. Man Herbert towers over him. Mahomes better be networking the shit out of potential FAs or trades.

It's good to see these guys having fun. I wonder if part of what got to them on Sunday was the prospect of three years in a row of Superbowl media hype grind. Like in the backs of their minds were they even looking forward to going to another Superbowl? I don't think they wanted to lose. But something like that may be why the Bengals looked a lot hungrier.

I posted about that at some point too. There is only so much hunger a person or team can have...after 4 years of super highs, at some point you just don't have that edge any more. Perhaps coming down from the hights and being out of the spot light will be good for all of them. I don't think they wanted to lose either, but they didn't want it as bad as the Bungles did. They just can't have that same desire and fire all of the time. They don't even realize it I'll bet.

It's going to be real interesting if Patrick gets his house in order by muzzling his immature brother & girlfriend.

If they're still active attention whores next season then Patrick's complacent letting them be distractions

How do we know they are distracting him?

Were they distracting him in the first 10 quarters of the playoffs when he had 12 touchdowns (an NFL postseason record)?

When he has to take questions about it during a presser, it becomes a distraction
