This play isn't getting talked about. Toe looks fine to me. 3rd and 12 down 10-7. Huge.

He had another run like that where he tucked it and ran harder than I can remember seeing him run in the second half. I think we were up 28-23 at that point.

I just don’t buy that he feels “hobbled”

I haven't heard that narrative. No idea why anyone would think that. He is at 6.1 yard per rush this year which is about 1 yard above his average.

Some of the darts he throws into traffic that are anticipated perfectly and right on the dot...and sometimes with a 300 pound monster running free at him. It's just insane. We're all witnessing a special talent for the next 15 or more seasons. All the pain we absorbed and all the red hot daggers that pierced our hearts the past 50 years were all worth it for this.

Pretty crazy to look back at that draft and see who got picked above him. Mitchell Trubisky is the Sam Bowie of this millennium for sure.

Two linemen on one player instead of one peeling off to take on the free runner.

It was a disguised blitz - they are taking advantage of the fact their DTs need doubles sometimes.

Fewer victory formations might account for the extra yard. 😔

Yeah, he's pretty great with the pump fake. I cam across this one the other day when I was looking for something else. Not bad for a dude with small hands:

Every week we get to see something special.

I'm still upset about Kemp dropping that no look pass vs the Chargers.

As Mitchell Schwartz said a few weeks ago:

"So how fast is Patrick Mahomes?"

"He's one step faster than whoever is chasing him..."

It's pretty uncanny, really. Nothing about him seems fast but he's left plenty of guys trailing him on his way to 1st downs.

I’ve never seen anyone run like him. I don’t know if it is uncanny intuition, or just what. But that’s a good line by Schwartz. Say what you want about his injury, I enjoy listening to that dude talk.

He was on Russillo and told him that he thinks of himself as a pretty smart guy. So he knows the protections and alignments and stuff so Patrick calls this protection and I say they’re in this, this dude will be unblocked - we need to do this. Patrick says I want him coming it will open up this other thing. Patrick was so far head of what he thought he knew, he was impressed.

It was a really good story. And he ran his humility out there with genuineness.

Mitch is a good listen.

Mahomes scrambled to his left a lot in that game.

I bet he saw the LT clear a path for him to scramble on the game-ending pick last week and that is now burned into his memory.
