IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Mahomes was on yesterday. It was amazing to see. We're still going to the Super Bowl boys.

Yup - we're fine.

A guard playing tackle and Mahomes was still comfortable and in command back there. Some weird crap in the 2nd half (and lousy officiating) really knocked the wind out of the offense's sails and screwed up their momentum.

They'll be fine. The Bengals have a ton of weapons and if we see them again in the post-season it'll just be the sort of 'Bucs learned from trying to play man against Tyreek in the regular season' sort of learning experience and we'll roll them.

It's all good. Hate that we're probably losing the bye, but they'll be fine.

This.

I aint even sweating that loss. Bengals played the game of their lives. Good for them.

What's most important is that Mahomes looks 100% Mahomes again.

Pat was just fine yesterday.

That felt like the old chiefs. Offense does their job but the defense can't stop a thing.

Nature may finally be healing.

He was great yesterday, but those two dropped picks scared the shit out of me. He's still the GOAT.

On the first dropped pick, was that just Kemp and PM not reading each other well? A hurried/forced/bad throw?

On the second, Pringle saved our asses. What happened on that one?

Skip (probably):

"I don't think Mahomes has it in him because of his arrogance. He was arrogant at Texas Tech, which I covered because Texas Texas Texas even though I haven't produced a single word of journalism in over 20 years. Mahomes is arrogant and the only person more arrogant is his head coach. Reid is arrogant. They aren't good enough like Dak and Tom. Now let me spend the next 5 minutes telling you for the 5 millionth time why Wasp in the Super Bowl was all luck and no skill or play design"

First one Kemp clearly ran the wrong route. Second one was because he was about to get wrecked on the block that Thuney blew. Had to let go of the ball early.

Mahomes was dealing yesterday. Recievers let him down a little, spags let us all down a lot, and the refs shit down our throat a lot.

Not too bad for a “broken” QB. The entire league is having a down year in the QBR stat. Seems like defenses are getting some revenge this year to an extent.

How would he be #4 if there are 4 QBs ranked ahead of him? Is there a tie between two of them?

He’s 5th. Even Rodgers dropped 12 points from his QBR last year. Defenses figured out something compared to the previous few years where you had a lot more guys above 65 or even 70 QBR.

Yeah, pretty terrible stuff from KC defense yesterday. I don’t understand why they didn’t find a way to double cover Chase on every play after he busted the initial 70+ yarder in the first quarter.
