*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I don't really consider him a TE in this offense though.

With how the OL performed last year, I don't see how you could not helping with with an TE or RB or something.

I don't know that teams have figured out anything they ddin't already know prior to Mahomes and this offense though either.

There isn't alot to really "change". I mean, maybe a route combination here or there I guess, but for the most part, isn't it more about being unpredictable?

But with this new Oline, we'll see if the Chiefs made the playcalling adjustments and developed the patience to utilize it.
The blueprint has always been there and it is essentially the same thing that could be said about any team. Get pressure on the QB with as few people as possible while dropping as many as you can in coverage. I have yet to see any QB thrive when they don't have time to throw the ball.

I went back and watched some 2018 highlights.

They had Wiley and Jeff Allen playing G late in the season.

60 would be pretty incredible. The record I'm waiting for is 8 TDs in a game. That 7 has stood for a long time now and in the passing era we're in, someone will break it. Good chance Mahomes is the one to do it. It'll be a game where he has like 4 in the first quarter and the defense plays terribly. Like that Rams game.

Which is why i think Wiley makes the team.

They can play him at both T and G.

There is no doubt we advance farther if the switch had been made.
Ya never know. Mahomes didn’t kill every jinx. Better safe than sorry.

Nice hearing the respect and dismay those Bucs are giving him. Not sure when they were comfortable they had won.

One Buc (can't remember who) was really gracious in an interview after the SB and said their defense couldn't really "breathe" until after Williams' facemask drop. Man. If he catches that this would have made the memory of that game so much better. Ah well. Mahomes can get a highlight just as spectacular sometime soon.
