*****2025 NFL DRAFT THREAD - NO SPOILERS*****

Version 2025 - PATRICK MAHOMES & THE RETURN TO GLORY

Let's ****ing do this.

Quote:
Rules for once the draft begins:
  1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's So and So to Green Bay) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!") or asking "questions" after the news is already out to make it seem like you're a genius guesser (ex: "Vegas gonna take player here?").
  2. Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny.

Quote:
NOTE: Like in year's past, I will be starting player threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP.
These separate player threads will be made as soon as the news breaks, but outside of this thread. This means if you are in the lounge, you may see the player prior to the TV announcement.
I will also link the player threads below, shortly after they are drafted. Pure knee-jerk gold to reference in the future.

Here are our picks:

Round 1, #28: Josh Simmons
Round 2, #63: Omar Norman-Lott
Round 3, #66: Ashton Gillotte
Round 3, #85: Nohl Williams
Round 4, #133: Jalen Royals
Round 5, #156: Jeffrey Bassa
Round 7, #228: Brashard Smith

Here is a list of the prospects the Chiefs have shown interest in this year.

Here are our prior years' Draft Threads:

If Simmons is what we think he is, the Chiefs have no excuse for not getting this offense scoring big points again.

I cannot believe we got Jalen Royals and Brashard Smith today. I am so happy. Finally speed and playmaking ability is added to this offense again, especially at RB.

Compared to Mahomes, sure.

He's better than Merz for example who got drafted ahead of him.

Veach’s most underrated ability as a drafter is having a good pulse on what other teams are doing.

He really seems to know not just WHOM to take, but WHEN.

I disagree. Go watch some Brashard Smith highlights. Tell me you don't see something special.

This is a strong long term class.

Simmons, ideally, starts as the 6th lineman while he gets that knee trust back and learns the blocking concepts. Can replace Taylor next year and Moore in 2026.

DL picks should help coming into January IMO.

Williams I can see being an active contributor early.

Royals and Bassa will be mostly Toub guys today, starters Year 2.

Smith should make the RB competition spicy.

Not remotely, I find it funny people like you act like you are NFL trainers or something.

I know 2 things with certainty. I don't know what Andy Reid knows about Simmons injury and I know more than you about exercise, diet, and training when it comes to the human body. Likely know more than you about recovery and injury as well.

And I only say that to point out, again, that I don't know what Reid and KC's staff knows about Simmons injury, and there is no way in hell you do either.

But hey go hit google for some info or something.

Edit: Forgot something else I am certain of, you are gay. NTTIAWWT

I mean they picked one of the three guys I BADLY wanted them to take at every pick except the 5th and that's my own doing - I just didn't look into that guy.

He took the TYPE of player I wanted even then.

Honestly I think I was about perfectly dialed into the chiefs outlook on the players in this draft.

I just wouldn't have taken that risk in the 1st.

Never said I was a trainer, dillweed. Just that the Chiefs are really cautious with players coming back so their history would lean he's not going to start Week 1.

If week to week man taking that route seems too farfetched for you, well ok then.

Gushing period blood because someone made a prediction over an event that's one big prediction is funny though.

So once again, sorry you are devastated about a prediction happening during a crapshoot event. Maybe get up, go for a walk and shake it off.

I'm not devastated or whatever nonsense you keep spouting to make yourself feel better. If Moore starts week 1 I couldn't care less.

Im just pointing out you are talking straight out your ass like usual.
