Depends on how you are basing the win. Overall picture end of season? Yeah that Nebraska win doesn't mean much. At the time though Nebraska was 5-1 and the blew them out.

Overall though their schedule was very weak

Yeah, my point was that SMU's schedule was actually more difficult than Indiana's (and it was pretty weak too). Despite being in the B10, Indiana had it extremely easy this season.

If Indiana is in, SMU should be too.

Because the expanded CFP is a glorified SEC/B1G Invitational, with the ACC and Big 12 being relegated to automatic qualifier conferences only.

Some years that might be justified… not the way this season played out though.

I mean, middling SEC teams would be 9-3, 10-2 types in the ACC. Just facts. That’s been a top heavy league for more than a decade. You can’t seriously argue that the SEC and Big Ten aren’t head and shoulders above the ACC.

That's all it is and all it will ever prove to be, I expect. The bigger power brokers in the sport will invariably get what they want out of the system they created.

Big has like two or three good teams every year; then a bunch of filler turds like Iowa and Wisconsin that would win 6 or 7 games in any conference they were in.
