***** Official Chiefs vs Raiders Thread *****

Lets get the revenge for the Christmas game last year.

Due to Miami's loss last night, if we win, we clinch a post season spot.

also i think people are vastly underestimating the effect of playing in back to back super bowls. not to mention the load managing that needs to be done. we’re trying to thread a a very small needle right now. the fact that we’re 11-1, regardless of the context, is insane. half of these guys are probably held together with glue and experimental drugs at this point

Oh, I agree, he was abysmal today. I thought it was the worst he’s played since Cinci

Still doesn’t make the playcall make any sense though

Defense issue is pass rush isn't there like it has been. They can't close because of it.

Or Bo Nix. Or Bryce Young.

Last guy he obviously outplayed was Derek Carr.

Obviously not, but I wouldn’t have bet the game on us converting there. And I certainly wouldn’t suggest going for it on 4th down at midfield only up 2.

Worthy had like 3 yards on his defender and there was no safety over the top. By NFL standards, an easier deep ball doesn’t exist.

I hate to make LeBron analogies (or do I?) but he went like a decade coasting in the regular season and letting teams like the Pacers, Hawks and Raptors finish 1st in the conference. Guess what happened in the playoffs to those teams though when LeBron went full out and stopped coasting? Same thing that has happened every team the Chiefs have played in the playoffs this decade other than one very lucky Bengals team.

We know what Mahomes and the Chiefs do in the regular season, we’ve seen it for a few years for now. Fact is, for this franchise, beyond injuries, nothing that is happening right now really matters all that much in the scope of their season.

I gotta give credit to the Raiders. The past couple years they have been bringing it. I don't follow them close enough to understand why they're always so bad they have been punishing Mahomes lately and Andy has to figure something out before the playoffs.

Oof. You said it, not me!

I’ll give him a pass on the Panthers game. That’s probably the best he’s looked all year.

But in recent history, yeah, he got outplayed by AOC, Nix, and Josh Allen, for sure.

And the hilarious thing is, he’s playing better this past month than he was the first couple lol

Make the trade now and perhaps we can see if AOC can lead us to 2 more consecutive SBs and an 11-1 season. How much worse could it be really with his deep ball ability?

The Raiders don’t bring this effort level to virtually any of their other games

Yeah, he was prime Patrick against the Panthers outside of him missing a deep ball to Worthy (there’s a bit of a theme here) where arguably, Worthy could have made a better play back to the ball. In the end, Patrick had the ball last and made the plays to win, so I’ll take that performance all day.

If poor tackle play is hampering his ability to reliably throw deep, then I’m on team “Veach needs to do whatever it takes for an LT” this offseason.
