This is a tricky game to predict.

On one hand you have the Donks, that even with a 5-11 roster and shitty coaching, still won their first 3 in a row at home. The early season, thin air advantage is a real factor...no matter how much MHM pretends its isn't.

Seahawks have Russel Wilson....who is mobile and can exploit the Donks ILB/safeties. He's a far superior QB than Keesterboy...

I'm going with Donks by 3...they just never lose on opening day due their opponents lungs feeling like "they are on fire".

I dont think the Donks are the better team...just the air affects every player on the Seahawks. Unlike an injury that hampers just one position group..

Anyway, I've never said that the higher altitudes are not a factor. It certainly is and it's undisputed. Is it the sole reason they've historically been good and otherwise would have been 6-8 win teams consistently as PGM and others seem to believe... hell no.

Yep. I agree for the same reason. If this game was in Seattle, Id pick them. Denver does not lose at home in the beginning of the season, even when they finish in last place with a 5 - 11 record.

I still can't believe Chubb fell to the Broncos with the fifth pick of the draft. He's already shown glimpses of dominance as a point-of-attack run defender and pass rusher.


13. Royce Freeman, Broncos

Freeman has already been named the Broncos' starter and he's poised for a big year. He runs with patience, balance and toughness.


23. Courtland Sutton, Broncos

Sutton has displayed a unique ability to track and adjust to the ball down the field. Given his great size (6-4, 216), he should be a force in the red zone.

Remember that legendary defense that helped the Seattle Seahawks get to back-to-back Super Bowls earlier this decade? It's dead. Gutted. Swimming with the fishes. But all three of our experts are still on board with the Seahawks in their opener against the favored Denver Broncos on the road.

With Case Keenum starting at quarterback alongside rookie running back Royce Freeman on one side of the ball and Defensive Rookie of the Year favorite Bradley Chubb debuting on the other side of the ball, new-look Denver is giving Seattle three points.

That's at least three too many in Gagnon's eyes.

"I like the Broncos with Keenum, Freeman and Chubb joining Von Miller and Co.," Gagnon said, "but I think they'll have a lot to iron out. And although the Seahawks could be a mess on defense, Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson has the ability to be a difference-maker in a game like this."
