Andy Reid on Mike & Mike: "Alex is our quarterback by the way"

Don't want to read too much into the conversation but just watched Andy on M&M this morning and he made it clear that Alex was the QB. Mentioned that he could still play, was at the Pro Bowl (), and can do all the things he wants his guy to do.

In essence, we can put any talk of Tony Romo, Nick Foles, or any other retread to bed. But, they did talk about college system QBs briefly (no one specific), and he said that as long as they feel like a guy can learn, it is their job to transition a college system QB and that it doesn't effect their decision on which type to take.

So, will we draft a QB? Idk, my bet is on yes since Foles is apparently gone.

Apparently jettio made the All American team and the pro bowl as well as being a first class talent evaluating scout. That's a necessity to have an opinion on your teams QB, everyone else is an imbecile.

INTs and how negatively effective they are always comes down to the TD-INT ratio..

A guy can throw 15-18 INTs, but if he throws 35-40 TDs, it's gonna be acceptable.

If you throw 8 INTs like Alex, then you need to be up in the 25-30 TD range for ball security to be a good attribute. Rodgers is out there throwing 40/7 about every year it seems, which is just insane.

15/8 isn't going to cut it for a SB team that doesn't have an all-time defense and/or run game.

13 isn't good but it's not enough stand-alone to say that a QB is unequivocally bad. There are a ton of ways that Foles could make up for that int rate.

And for what it's worth, Smith's int% was 10th in the league. It's not like he was even superb in protecting the football. He was good, yes, but merely good. He wasn't excellent at it and he was poor in most other areas.

The guy just didn't do anything to establish that he should be the unquestioned QB of a championship caliber roster as he enters his decline years.

Add to that the fact that the guy has taken sacks -almost weekly- that knocks the team out of FG range, wastes timeouts, throws passes when he's past the line, has no sense of urgency and misses open receivers all the time...and it's clearly obvious that the team needs an upgrade at the QB position if this team has a chance at making a serious run at a title.

The rushing linebacker was at least 7-8 yards away from Alex when he decided to run away. And by that very same point, Hill was already a few yards past the flat footed defender.

This is weak even by excuse standard. Harrison is literally 7 yards away when Smith freaks out and runs away.
