Tamba Hali

Has anyone seen him? His friends and family are worried.

What happened to our impact LB? The sack machine? The difference maker?

Bullshit.

First and foremost, he DID NOT have 15 sacks. He's not quick enough to get that many sacks in a single season. As I've stated many times, the guy is a hard worker and has the heart of a champion. But his body just isn't capable of providing a team with that many sacks in a season.

Out of position in 2009? He was "out of position" in 2008, when he filled in for Jared Allen.

This year, he was back to his natural position.

He is a solid player .. but he does get mauled in the run game .. mostly by trying to cut the corner and getting himself blocked into the pile .. if he'd stay home more runners might not elude him as much ...

I think it's ****ing hysterical that people like GoChiefs and The Guardian can somehow claim that Hali was a successful linebacker after he was nearly trampled to death in the Cleveland game, while finishing the season with only 8.5 sacks.

He's a just a ****ing guy. He's a role player on a good defense at best.

I think its funny that some people can claim that he has reached his peak when he has always played on defenses that have no push up the middle and only a short time period with a good pass rusher across from him (and FTR he had more sacks than Jared his first year)

I dont know how many times Hali has missed a sack and flushed a qb out of the pocket only to see the qb throw for a big gainer because of lacking talent on this defense.

FACT he has been a top five at his position player at pressures on the quarterback about every year he has played in the NFL and IMHO if we get a solid push up the middle and a pass rush presence other than him on this team, qbs wont be able to escape as much and it will start to make passers throw rushed and a lot of those pressures will turn to sacks (for him or the other defenders)

I think Hali could consistently get 12+ sacks if the other factors are lined up.

What?

8.5 sacks is a good, solid year.

Especially when you're the only pass rush threat on the defense.

NO ONE thought Hali was going to get 8.5 sacks before last season. NO ONE.

He proved everybody wrong.

Tamba applied a large amount of pressures. I'm not going to disparage his performance as a pass rusher last season. He's still a piss-poor run defender however.

Bullshit.

There were plenty of people who thought he'd get 8 sacks. That's pretty much his average.

And once again, please point out "oops".

There's not a single thing that I wrote back in September that's incorrect.

So like Matt Cassel, if he's surrounded by amazing talent, he'd be a much more productive and better playing, right?

Hali is what he is: An average to good pass rusher and an absolute liability against the run.

He IS NOT a complete player in any way, shape or form.

Dane has got to be one of the stupidest mofos in the entire world. He wouldn't know a football from that dick up his ass if it wasn't for the laces.

Constantly talks about shit he knows nothing about. Then when he turns out to be wrong ... which is more often than not, he tries to look around all innocent like somehow he wasn't just an arrogant phugtard about the whole topic from the start.

*sigh* oh well, there always a chance for a huge ass earthquake to put Dane out of our misery.

I wasnt crying at all, I said back then and Ill say it again, I dont care what people do for entertainment on the internet, its the people that take things personally that make it seem all meaney meaney.

I was just pointing out that you were being a hypocrite in saying you were trying to keep the board civil then choose who YOU want to attack repeatedly.

I guess I read Danes posts a little differently that most. There are numerous topics where in one post he is a nasty sob then the very next post he is a nice guy.

Ya know why?

Because some members think its ok to follow him around and shower him with insults then cry when those insults are returned 10 fold.

If you dont want to get bit, dont poke him with a stick.

I interact with 99% of the posters on this forum and am almost never insulted, ya know why? Because I only insult when its appropriate and explain my insult more times than not.

I think the guy is one of the more entertaining posters, but what do I know?

carry on...
