Let’s talk about the Chargers

Quick turnaround. Amazon’s new platformed TNF

First thought: love the offense now. Worries about injuries and OT’s. Mack and Bosa had a combined 4.5 sacks today. But they played the Raiders OL.

They won but nearly lost to a bad team. Very beatable IMO

Running the ball in that game was fine in the 2nd half with such a lead but I wouldn't have run the ball ever in the 1st half. Patrick almost averaged 10 yards per throw, so 4.7 ypc is giving up points expected per play.

That’s your sample size.
The run d is already better than last years. Hard to say if they can keep it up

But Mack and Sebastian Joseph day have already proven themselves to good run defenders.

So not being 100% is a guy you’d want out there covering our receivers in a divisional game?

A 90% healthy jc Jackson is better than 100% Michael Davis. So yes.

So we’re either going with deep balls or going balls deep?

The Chiefs didn’t throw a pass until the 5th play of the last last week. 1 was a Mahomes run and the other 3 was Clyde rushing for 34 yards which opened up the passing game. And what do you know the Chargers LB’s bite on fakes leaving the middle of the field wide open.

No but you can certainly expect him to ALWAYS average more yards per throw than the BEST NFL teams avg yard per carry.

You can certainly still be successful but it is lowering the points on average you could score per game. Never, ever, ever run on 1st and 10 when you have a Top 10 QB. Or 2nd and 10, either. Never Ever.

So you want Pat throwing 50 times a game?
We gotta keep him healthy...thats what the running game is for...especially when it is working
2nd and five is a great place to be
