Less than 24 hours away from players agreeing to terms with new teams, here’s where we stand (only including players of consequence):

QB - Mahomes
RB - Pacheco, Elijah Mitchell
WR - Rice, Worthy, Hollywood, Remigio
TE - Kelce, Gray, Wylie
LT - Jaylon Moore
LG - Kingsley
C - Creed, Nourzad
RG - Trey
RT - Taylor, Wanya

DT - Jones
LB - Bolton, Tranquill, Chenal
CB - McDuffie, Watson, Kristian Fulton, Williams
S - Hicks, Cook, Conner

All that said, what do we predict happens? What would make it a successful FA period in your mind from here following the signings of Bolton, Hollywood, and Trey?

You've got guys that can play guard, or can find those cheaper at this point.

Figure out the LT spot and find a DT. Draft defense, look for a RB somehwere.

Assuming KC lands a LT in free agency (I feel like Veach has his target), I don’t expect them to do much more pre draft.

Then it’s CB, RB, DE, DT in that order. They need more freedom to move McDuffie around, a playmaker with speed at RB, a speed edge rusher, and a compliment to Chris Jones.

What we really want is a hybrid of the two. A RB with Hunt’s vision, pass pro, and ability to get open when Pat scrambles as well as Pacheco’s quickness/speed.

Point being, neither is really a complete RB1.

Negative. Hunt was really losing his burst and stamina. We need help there but Hunt is washed beyond being able to fall forward.

He was the best back on short yardage in football last year.

I agree he doesn't have a ton of time left but do I care how many yards a back gets on 1st and 10?

I do not.

I care that he can pick up a first down on 3rd and 2 or a TD on 4th and 1 and Hunt did that.

I like a lot about this roster already. Can see the pathway to final four contention in the making for the 2025 team. Offense will be built on explosive weapons in the passing game, defense is largely intact and could get younger and stretch out their run of good play.

But you look at those names and there’s a fair share of meat that could be departing as soon as next spring. Can’t say enough about how important this upcoming draft class (and next year’s) is.

According to Bwillie even though we can’t find a left tackle, we should just let the rest of the OL be total shit at ag and C so Mahomes can be Andrew Luck’d.
