Thats strange local inside source "Nick from WPI" said on the local radio that chances of Herm staying next year is 50 50 and he was being generous, that chances are less than that.

I knew it.

My in-laws took me to dinner for my birthday this evening, and ESPN was on a bank of TV's on the other side of the room.

I just happened to look up as they were replaying the 2pt attempt, then noticed that they went on to talk about it for what felt like a good 45 seconds to a full minute. Just based on the amount of time they were discussing it, I figured it was about Herm's job status.

I told the wife, "I bet Mort is saying that Herm went for it yesterday because he knows his job is safe."

Thank God we hadn't eaten yet...
