"based on" would be the key word. which is far from reality.

Yeah you're right. And perhaps I'm just a fan of another scheme.

but...

The Thomas guy is a project so it's not like he'd be our starter. Every team needs at least one run stuffer to sub in on short yardage situations.

It probably won't happen but it's just a thought.

What does everyone think about the possibility of taking Quinn Pitcock in the second?

it would be worth a shot but i dunno how good of a player he will turn out to be, he had a good combine so did he underachieve in his time at OSU?

If Harris from ND isn't there I think he'd be a very solid pick for the Chiefs. Honestly I saw more of his games last year than I saw this season but he seems like a low-risk stable pick that the Chiefs could use. With the possibilty of Reed, Edwards and especially Wilkerson leaving he would solidfy the DT rotation. He probably won't ever be a stud, pash-rushing 8 sacks a year DT but he's solid in his all-around game. And God knows we need help on the DL.

Also I would like to insert my dismay at the fact that the Chiefs allowed Rien Long to be resigned by the Titans as I believe he would have been an excellent addition to the defensive line. Obligatory DAMMIT CARL is in order.

i still think the best thing we can do is try an move jared allen an our 23rd pick an see how high we can get to try an grab ahold of amobi okoye, then we can still use our 3rd rounder on a solid DE, like abiamiri
