Upon further review, I was mistaken.

4 inches might be enough in the bedroom, but not in a rhino fight.

Would the rhino really gore a bear? I think the horn is more of a vestigal thing to ward off extinct stuff. The rhino just has to get the bear off its feet for long enough to stomp on it. You get stomped on by a rhino and you're not getting up.

Just was curious about this after these convos, so I decided to post it here:

Deadliest Animals Worldwide in 2022 by number of human deaths:

1) Mosquitos - 1 Million Deaths
2) Snakes - 100K Deaths
3) Dogs - 30K Deaths
4) Freshwater Snails - 20K
5) Assassin Bugs - 12K
6) Tsetse Flies - 10K
7) Roundworms - 2.5K
8) Crocodiles - 1K
9) Tapeworms - 700
10) Hippos (Tied with Elephants) - 500

Is the next matchup Hippos versus Elephants?

They use their horns in battle. Lots of video of that sort of thing.

Interesting. I guess their heads are kind of low to the ground, so maybe that helps. Their horns are so big that I would've thought they weren't overly useful against any creature that wasn't as big as them, which is obviously going to be rare. But I guess a low-slung head makes the horn more useful.

I can’t imagine the fear humans had for these beasts prior to the invention of guns. I was reading recently that the original word for bear in some language, I can’t remember but I think it was Hungarian, has been lost to time because the people were too afraid to say it, fearing it would summon the bear lol
Yes but have you seen the show Counting Cars ? They have a Hungarian guy on there and he’s kind of a dumbass.

Not worth a matchup. Hippos GTFO when elephants are around. A full grown elephant would stomp the shit out of a hippo. Look it up

I hate to be picky about such things but Mosquitos doesn't belong on this list. Nor do Freshwater snails or Assassin bugs or Tsetse flies or Roundworms or Tapeworms. None of these are Animals.
