US Steel looks real appealing at these prices but my fear is that it turns out just like GE in that it's not undervalued.

Someone here was a big follower, maybe Buehler?

Yep, me and Lewdog jumped on it when it was 15-20 and rode it to $42 and sold. I don't think I'm a buyer this time. I bought some UBER when it IPO'd at $42 and dumped it at $44, I have a gut feeling that was a mistake. It might well be a potential money maker when they finally turn. I do not see US steel as a buy either. Too much in trade wars to worry about.

Could be, but as a guy that trades/brokers products around that industry, I wouldn’t touch that stock right now. I track coal and iron ore shipments that go into integrated steel markets (like USS). Lots of order cancellations in the last 2 months. That’s never encouraging news. FYI

I think all the negative news is somewhat overblown but I understand so many cancellations and changes with all the tariffs and trade wars.
