Brady also never played w amount of weapons we currently have. I guess closest was when he had Moss/Welker and he tore it up..

I'm not ready to crown Mahomes as GOAT yet way too early! Great start though!
He plays the game like Rodgers, who is 37 years old with a long injury history and currently playing at MVP level. Brett Favre played at a high level beyond age 35 as well. Same goes for John Elway. None of those 3 guys fit the Brady mold you are describing.

If we're talking about things that guys have or don't have, Mahomes has never had a defense like what Belichick supplied to Brady for the vast majority of their 20 years together. If Patrick figures out a way to pull a Montana run of 4 rings in less than 10 years, he has an argument to be in the GOAT conversation at that point.

Regarding the MVP:

Seen a lot of takes come in this morning about Rodgers being the MVP. Whatever.

Between long plays being called back, conservative situational playcalling, and a certain lack of a challenge last night, he might get hosed in the statistical race.

However, anyone who doesn't think he's the best player in football by a WIDE MARGIN simply isn't paying attention. Two years ago, it was Brady and Brees, last year it was Lamar, the first half of this season it was Russ, now it's Rodgers.

There's always someone the media says is better than Mahomes. However, the one constant in the bullshit comparisons IS MAHOMES. The others come and go, but he's always there.

Do you see Mahomes scoring 12 points at home and losing to a 4-7 team like Russ did? No.

Do you see Mahomes EVER getting beat 38-10 like Rodgers did? No.

Mahomes has no peer, he has no bad games, he has no letdowns. He is inevitable. The best player in football, the MVP, end of story, shut it down, no discussion.

You can give the award to someone else, but Patrick Mahomes is on a level all his own in this league. Anyone saying otherwise is just trying to stir up hot takes or doesn't have a clue what they're talking about.

Here's a stat to keep an eye on. The record is 2007 Brady at 96 PAA. Mahomes is already at 77 PAA, not much different than Rodgers' 2011 season of 78 PAA. Mahomes is currently on pace to finish with 103 PAA. Rodgers is currently at 57 PAA and on pace to finish with 78 PAA, equal to his 2011 season but still way behind Brady in 2007 or Mahomes 2020. Would be pretty wild if Mahomes breaks a record that was firmly in Brady's name for all these years and ends up losing MVP.

How many Rodgers TD's have been called back on phantom holds this year?

Rodgers gets the Brady treatment as far as the refs letting his Oline hold every play. So does Big Ben. Not Mahomes though- Denver went for his knees yesterday and no flag.

Mahomes still has more yards and more wins with a harder schedule. MVP

I'm so glad I don't see Cris Carter anymore. Dudes whole life has revolved around football and he's still a ****ing idiot when discussing the sport.

Except for Bayless. He's a huge troll but he knows what he's talking about when he's expressing his actual opinions. His worry about BOB came to fruition and he already knew Mahomes was special.

The fewest INTs anyone has ever thrown in a 5,000 yard season is 10. Mahomes is on pace for 3. Mahomes is looking at the most efficient QB season ever in the history of football
