I went 201.4 there a few years ago, and ALL kinds of things were going on. That was in a wind brick Shelby GT 500 though. Cant even imagine going 100mph faster. But in a streamlined Ford GT, no doubt way less turbulent stuff was going on.

She's not on board but I know it would get driven more. My carbureted behemoth is finicky in the weather. It's an old F-Body so it doesn't handle for shit. It's a rattle-trap and you can't really go anywhere without getting out smelling a little like exhaust or gasoline. I drive it a few times a month in the spring/summer but a Viper would just be a 'sit in and go'. And on top of that, I'd want the convertible so I'd have the top down option. I'd be less worried about rust, etc... in the newer car and it would handle better. I'd have to come out of pocket maybe $10K, but it would be pretty doable. And the allure of having a V-10, even if it's going to be less powerful than my jumped up 383, is pretty appealing. Then again, the Camaro is a sexy beast of a car. Gonna be hard to top that bright red metallic with the silver racing stripes (with a hint of gold metallic in them to make 'em pop; guy did a hell of a job with the paint on that car).

You already have a 383 in it, its not like its original anyway. You can get a mechanic to install it for you in a day or so. https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...parts/550-510K |

Since it isn't all original definitely go injected. Also you can get the car to handle better with some aftermarket suspension upgrades. Resto-Mod that bitch.

Alright e-mechanics, time to evaluate my Jeep if you would be so kind.
I had a power steering issue the other day. It was groaning like mad when I turned the wheel. I filled up the power steering fluid and that resolved itself. However, there is a rattle coming from the front of the engine. It sounds like it's something with the belt/pulleys. The belt seems fine? Is something coming loose? Engine off: Engine on: Here is the rattle: |

I'm not a car guy but I think that's a valve issue. Loss of power when driving too?
I'd wait for Sauto though. Dude is legit.

No loss of power. I've been told one of the bearings in one of the pulley wheels is wasted.

Make that chick you are cohabitating (sin) with buy you something new. I bet Sauto comes in here and just owns this issue. I've got nothing else.

Somewhere in there is a tensioner pulley. Get a wrench on it and loose the belt. With the load off the belt turn each pulley. The one that makes noise or doesn't turn smooth is the culprit.
