Lot of them are former snipers, and like to keep up on their skills. Tons more are sponsored long range shooters that shot that distance for competition. Some just like shooting that distance for fun and challenges your skills on a ton of levels. It’s actually a fairly fast growing “phenomenon” in the shooting world. And while I’m not into hunting, should a scenario arise where it proves to be the best bet to feed myself and loved ones... I’d like the ability to reach out beyond 50 yards Last but not least, long range shooting is actually a lot of fun... testing your weapon and yourself to see what you’re both capable of |

I know that this might sound crazy - but when I buy a weapon (AR for example), my main sticking point is how accessible and economical Ammo is. I usually stock up when ammo goes on sale. For me, the decision was simple. The .308 in my AR10 works like a champ. It reaches out as far as I need it to - usually between 350-500 yards with ease. I also have a WWII Mauser 7 mm that does the job quite well - although ammo can be ridiculous some times. But, it was a gift from my Father when I was a kid and I still have it. It's got a Leupold scope on it and will take down a buck at 500 yards without breaking a sweat. The problem with that, however, is that it is rare (around these parts) when I have a clear shot at that distance. If I go into Wyoming or Colorado - different story.

The left just doesn’t have the cajones to start an actual war. It’ll be our side that says enough is enough. And I just do not see that happening during Trump’s tenure - because while we don’t always like or agree with him, we still recognize that he isn’t going to be forcing us to house soldiers and confiscate our arms. He is much more on our side than he isn’t.

Yeah, I don't think Trump is the impetus for much. I remember the absolute hatred for Richard Nixon and little happened then. No, I truly, with all my heart, believe that this is something that has been brewing for 50 or so years.

Antifa wants to goad people into vigilantism and conflict in the streets, that's their end game. Then they can point their finger at normal people who are just tired of the BS and say "SEE, WE TOLD YOU THEY WERE FACISTS AND HATERS AND BIGOTS AND EXTREMISTS, IT'S THEM, NOT US!"
Then the swamp creatures in DC will have their excuse to revoke the Constitution and Bill of Rights and impose martial law as they dissolve the old USA and create a new one based on socialism/communism. Trump is just a finger in the dam holding back the inevitable conflict this nation is heading towards. When Trump won in 2016, it threw a monkey wrench into the globalists plans to institute a one-world government, where their are a small group of people at the very top who dictate to everyone how to think, how to live.

I shoot prairie-dogs out to just under 600 yds with a rifle chambered in .223 rem. Technically speaking I cold probably push out to about 700 yards with a match-grade barrel and a better FCU. But I'm shooting rats for all intents and purposes, and I don't feel like spending that kind of money on rats. With a 6.5CM I might be able to hit p-dogs beyond 800 yards, which would be amazing. But not worth the money. If I were being paid to shoot, I'd probably get a 6.5CM. |

PS, Trump is, by far, the best president in my lifetime outside of Reagan. Please remember, Trump is not a politician, he's not a Washington insider. Trump is a business man who loves this country very much. He's not some polished, slick snake oil salesman like many politicians. He is, in fact, the only thing holding back the far left and people like Hillary Clinton from destroying this country by shredding up the constitution and bill of rights. Also remember, the left has zero scruples, for them, the end justifies the means...

You may look into 6.5 Grendal, will work for AR15 lowers and has really good ballistics. Might get you stretched out further for dog hunting, lots of videos of them reaching over 1000 yards with it. If I was being paid, I would probably go 6.5C as well. Such a good round for long distance and consistent |
