The fate of Chris Jones 2023 edition

Appears the Chiefs and Chris Jones are at the beginning of a contract dispute

Speculation has been that the two sides are "far apart" on a deal

So Chiefs Planet.... how do we think this will play out (poll coming)

Will the Chiefs pay up and meet Chris Jones demands? If so, how much will it end up costing?

Will the Chiefs not be able to meet Chris Jones demands and end up trading him? If so, what kind of haul can we expect?

I've really loved watching Chris Jones wreck shit for the Chiefs, it always sucks when the business side of the NFL forces teams into tough decisions.

So at the end of the day Chris Jones for all the talk and all of that is just a dipshit huh?

It's one thing to holdout but he's now taking it further than basically any other player has.

Honestly, at this point I hope the Chiefs have factored that into their decision. They can’t cave.

I mean I'm sorry it's one thing to hold out, but this just takes it to a whole nother level of idiocy.

Yeah, I really thought he'd be on the active 53 today. This...this is just bordering on stupidity with his Agent. Now, he's losing leverage every day. At this point, he and his agent have to be banking on the Chiefs looking like shit without him. Not good.

Exactly. Worst case scenario for Jones 8-0 if he does in fact plan to sit 8 games.

It's kinda weird thinking that Jones, at home on the couch, might be cheering for KC to lose. Geez I hope he doesn't post himself cheering.

Maybe they read social media, basically the narrative is without Chris Jones their teams will get to beat Mahomes now and we'll be like 9-8.

This year will be the ultimate test for Andy, Pat, Kelce and Spags. They haven't let us down yet, so I have no reason to think they will now. Jones doesn't seem to understand he's a cog in the Kansas City machine, not the engine.

Enjoy your time off, Chris. We'll all move on.
Yep. Never took him for the Honey Badger bitch boy type, but he is exactly that.

If he legit doesn't report until week 8, I'll bet he's out of shape and doesn't contribute until week 12 and you'll be lucky if you get more than half ass because he'll only be here because he has to be.
