And I don't get why every gay character on television has to be a super-neurotic queen. I live in a damn college town, I know plenty of gay people. I've known ONE to even remotely approximate the sort of hyper-effeminate, self-absorbed, manic figure that seemingly every gay person in a television show is. And to make him essentially a co-star, I'm guessing he's had more screen time than Ford this year, is a poor choice. He removes you from any sort of reality. He has some funny moments, don't get me wrong. But that's what his character is - comic relief. Or a sort of plot device to turn a story. But I just cannot stomach him as a central character in the show. I mean at some point he's trying to have a conversation with Derek and starts going into how Derek should make out with a guy he wants to fight (I won't go into the why of it). It's just so over the top and distracting.

Did anyone else finish Dark Matter on Apple? I really wanted to like the show but after the ending I just felt blah. They are definitely setting up for another season but I am not sure I would watch it or not.

I know Frazod doesn't want anything to do with Dune but has anyone watched Dune Prophecy? I actually thought it was pretty good but I also don't follow all the books like everyone else.

I may have already posted about it somewhere here recently but Monarch: Legacy of Monsters was a decent watch if you enjoy the Monsterverse flicks.

I enjoyed it but many didn't. It had some pacing issues here and there, to be sure. And a bit of it was telegraphed, but otherwise I thought it was entertaining and well done.

I hope you fellas have American Primeval on your radar. Brand new Netflix limited series and holy shit. It's good. Like really ****ing good. Maybe one of Netflix's most well done shows.
But **** that ending to hell. Last edited by dlphg9; 01-14-2025 at 01:46 PM.. |

Not some sympathetic character arc.

Really enjoyed this show. Frazod would absolutely hate it, because lots of people hate it because Frank Herbert didn't write it. It was his son Brian and Kevin Anderson. Alot of people do not like their works lol.

We started watching it this past weekend and are 3 episodes in. It's pretty intense, and so far it's a great show. You guys are making me want to spoiler the ending if it sucks that bad.
