No, they just have to deal with the shame for the rest of their lives drafting Trubisky instead of Mahomes.

Solomon Thomas is the kind of player you take maybe middle of the 1st round or later. It's laughable that Lynch had the gaping hole he did at QB and was too chickenshit to risk taking Mahomes (or even Watson) so instead he went the "safer" route by picking a guy with great but not elite talent and glaring problems of inconsistent play and effort.

A very Pioli-like strategy if I ever saw one. It's an egotistical pick. "Look at me and how wise I am for taking the clean Stanford-smart passrusher and avoiding a potential QB bust and all the flashy WRs!"

And it's even funnier that he followed up the Thomas bust by trading up to get Reuben Foster. That kind of draft would have made Tiger Uppercut wet himself with glee. And no, that's not a good thing.

He got lucky with the George Kittle pick. Damn lucky. Otherwise that would have been the worst draft of all 32 teams that year.

When does he become President of the United States of America?

I figure he retires to Texas where he decides to run for mayor of Whitehouse, eventually people want him to run for Congress which he will win easily, then he becomes a senator. Should take 15 years after he retires.

From Whitehouse to the White House.

So let me get this straight, even though Phillip Rivers sucks and has never won a damn thing he sucked longer so therefore is more valuable than Mahomes who in 2 years won an MVP and a SB MVP.

The best part was that everyone and their mother knew that Lynch was going to take the Stanford guy.

He's essentially Steve Buscemi in that SNL Skit:

Applicant: No, it’s a college. Um.. I went there for four years.

Interviewer: I never heard of it! I’ve heard of Pepperdine! Why didn’t you go to Pepperdine?

Applicant: I don’t know.. I just didn’t.. I went to UCLA.

Interviewer: Yeah, I know that now! I’m just saying, I’ve heard of Pepperdine! Is that alright with you? Is that alright that I’ve heard of it?!

I mean, they DID expressly state that it's per a counting stat. And so yes, longevity will get someone else the edge over Mahomes.

If someone posts "most HRs hit by a player who played in KC during the 90s" and listed Jeff King ahead of Bo Jackson...well they'd be technically accurate.

PFF grading is cumulative. Rivers started for 5 of those years to Mahomes' 2.

That actually makes it even more impressive for Mahomes to be #3 over guys like Von Miller, Chris Harris, Bosa, Hayward, Tyreek, Kelce, etc who played a lot more games in that span.

I remember that King/Bell trade adding legitimate players to our lineup. It was a pretty big freaking deal at the time.

I still think it would have been epic if Pat threw that last pass through the endzone.

I wish he would have kept it in the field of play, because I think Robinson could have scored.
