According to Gil Brandt on Sirius/XM radio. He will sign with an NFL team and that means he'll pretty much play at a minimum contract.

Sounds like he's talking with investigators early next week.

You can't offer him a contract like that as an UDFA.

You can offer him the max udfa contract (as I said in the post) so his first 2 years wouldn't pay him much... But add a provision that his deal will be redone as soon as the rules allow and that when that moment comes, the contract extension will pay him what he would have made as the 15th pick.

There is no way the NFL would let that happen.

The rules are very strict. Collins' base salary is set. His signing bonus is strictly capped. He can get a decent sized pay bump if he earns performance bonuses.

He's going to be so cheap that any team that wants him will get him and they'll get him at a serious discount.
