With a pen...

"It seems that he just had a pen in his hand and they started fighting and at some point during the fight he began to stab the victim," said Williams Police Chief Jim Saso.

Ibarra's family members said he was stabbed six or seven times in the chest and stumbled home.

As for your chart, it shows that people have few qualms about using other weapons if they don't have a gun available. Pen, crossbow, knife, bat, poison, etc... It's been going on since long before guns were invented.

That doesn't happen.

Generally it's pretty easy to shoot someone, thus all kinds of idiots are capable of doing it.

The other methods....well, that takes balls.

Ah, the Liberal Idiot Murder Expert.

Tell me, Francine, have you fired a gun? Or even held one in your hand?

And the one you got with your Xbox doesn't count. I mean a real one.

In the boy scouts.

Not since then though. I think target shooting is fine. Hunting too.

Would it be too much to require gun owners to keep their arms locked up at gun ranges or hunting sites?? Maybe...maybe not

But at the rate of psychos out there shooting people with guns keeps getting more deadly then I believe something needs to be done.

I was convinced after Columbine. Virginia Tech made it even more apparent.

Ummm, dumbass, at the point where the chart you posted ends in 2004, gun crimes were roughly the same as in 1976, and showing a decline. You'll need to find a more up to date one if you want that argument to hold any water at all.

Oh, absolutely. I'm sure if somebody breaks into my house, he'll stand by while I run down to the range and get my pistol, since all criminals are primarily compelled to give their victims a sporting chance.

And BTW, the rate of psychos killing people is generally pretty constant. The media coverage they get, and the gullible fools who are scared out of their tiny little wits by it, have increased exponentially, however.

Here's a nice little historical fact for you, Wickedson.

One of the primary reasons Quantrill's raid on Lawrence was so successful was because the all the town's guns were locked in the armory by order of the mayor; only a handful of citizens defied the edict and kept their weapons. Ironically, most of them survived.

Just a guess but the assault weapons ban began in 1994. It had a tremendous effect on lowering gun violence.

My argument holds no water?

A quick search of school shootings (a good example of mass violence using a firearm) will show the numbers by decade:

1960's there were 2
1970's there were 5
1980's there were 9
2000's there were 49
2010's there have been 13 so far....

There's no denying gun violence outside of gangs and inner cities is on the rise.

To deny is just stupid and scary on your part.

Nice response, ****tard. Utterly ignore the point I made. That says all about you anybody needs to know.

Seriously, pick up those kneepads. Oh, never mind - I'm sure you already have a set. They're probably red and blue, too.

I know the point you were trying to make. Like I said before, it's not the era of muskets and six shooters.

The government will send in a ranger unit and put a bullet between your eyes before you even know what's happening.

Or they'll just send a cruise missile into your window while your fatass sleeps. The idea of your overweight self going into your closet and grabbing your gun while someone comes in to kick you ass makes me chuckle. lol

Quantrill was nothing more than a common thug like the Carr brothers. He was put down rather easily just a year after the cowardly ambush on Lawrence no? Keep citing him as something to be proud of, it's hilarious.
