Keep fucking doubting Trent Green...

The title of the thread says it all....

fuck you doubters. He plays with heart, and he continues to get the job done. You people who bash Green, I don't even consider true fans. He plays his heart out every Sunday, and you continue to bash him...

Keep bashing him, I'll keep backing him.

Resigning Green, IMO, was one of the most important moves of the offseason, and I think that we will be glad that we did it before the season is out.
Actually, Green did very well in one of the games when Holmes was out. He threw for three touchdowns and over 300 yards on a day when we had no running game, and we beat the Chargers.

The Raiders game was over before it began, because of the rain.

The Raiders game sticks out in my memory more than the Chargers game...maybe because it hurt so much. Had we had a running game that day, though, we would have had a shot at beating them.

I was at that game. 2 passes stick out in my mind as poorly thrown. Green's INT was pathetic. Really, no excuse for it. Bad ball. The other, believe it or not was the long TD to Bo. Bo bailed Green out on that play by adjusting to the ball while it was in the air. Overall, though - can't complain about a "W". It was just a little closer than it needed to be.

No excuses for the Raiders game. The Chiefs were horrible. If you can't play in the rain, join the freaking arena league. Rain should NEVER be an excuse. Not after all the big games we've won by executing well in downpours.

You're going to say he had a bad day for making TWO mistakes in a game?

Bah....after the Denver game either his foot was really bothering him or he can't handle pressure. He had no reason to admit to the injury so I have no reason not to believe him, and assume that was why.

But he was horribly inaccurate that game, and instead of Green it makes me question the staff. If he was hurt that bad they should have sat him, both for our playoff chances (sure, they were slim to none) and more importantly for his future.....What if he would have seriously fugged it up?

However, that kind of toughness hasn't been seen since Deberg, and I admire that. I'll bag his brain but not his heart.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Actually, I don't like to make judgements on good/bad performances when we win. The end result is where my generally interest lies. That "W" is the only stat that matters to the Chief fan in me. That raises an interesting question, though. Where does one draw the line regarding mistakes? I mean, 4 mistakes really isn't a whole lot when you throw the ball 50 times in a game. But when they're all intercepted by the same damn player, that tends to break your back. I dunno the answer to that and I suspect that my consistency in making that judgment may be lacking.

Green is a dud recruited for far too much compensation by a bunch of guys who had the game pass them by a couple years ago.

You give Kitna an O line like he had and Priest Holmes when he was on fire and he'll put up the same stats. Unless he's a totally different QB from the one I've seen in Washington, he's not taking this team anywhere.

If he ever gets to the big game he's gonna choke like a chiwawa on a chicken bone.

Green had a nice game. Recievers dropped a lot of balls. I blame him for 6 bad passes. 3 of them were almost INTS, and there were abotu 3 more severely overthrown/underthrown balls.

But he didn't screw up and that's all I ask of him. That equals a good game in my book.
