I'm grudgingly changing my tune on Hollywood. They need to bring him back and just hope he can stay healthy.

It's a no brainer with our cap constraints.

Already knows the offense, already an established chemistry with Mahomes. If you can bring him back on a similar deal, you've got three legit proven WRs in this offense that cost you probably $10M or less in 2025.

I'd try to do it for more than a year though.

Sure, I just don't know that he would sign up for it. And the injury history does give you some pause there.

I’d offer him the MVS/Reid 3 year special. Adjusted with inflation it could be a $15 or so million APY deal with a nice signing bonus payday the moment he puts pen to paper.

We can definitely do that

Wait - did anyone really say that?

I mean I wasn't even loudly on the Xavier Worthy bandwagon (my memory is that I wanted DeJean when the pick came up) and I never for one second bemoaned taking him over Coleman.

There are people who are fans of this team, who have watched this team play, and thought that Keon Coleman was the guy to have on the roster over Worthy?

That's...odd.

Does Coleman look like a bust? Seems like he’s had some decent games this year?

He may yet turn out ok? Just not as dynamic as Worthy.

But I do not understand why the Bills still trade with us??

He's maxed, IMO.

He might get a little better, but the player that Deandre Hopkins is right now is Coleman's ceiling.

He might develop into a top 50ish WR in the league. Maybe. Which isn't to say that he's a bust, just that he's no real loss. And he doesn't bring a skill-set that's all that hard to find.

I never wanted Coleman for the Chiefs and I've said as much but I've liked him as a prospect ever since he had the best gauntlet score. He doesn't really fit how we play, he's more of a Bengals style WR. Seems like he's doing just fine. The next guy I LOVED was Ladd McConkey because he had the next best gauntlet score. That guy looks like he would be tailor made for this offense.

I like Worthy alot. He is like Mecole Hardman on steroids. Maybe the next DeSean Jackson but he's probably got 200-250 of his yards on just quick outs where we just throw in the ball right away because the DB is giving him a big cushion due to his speed. That is useful obviously and speed is his #1 ally but as a 3rd down reliable move the chains guy like Rice, DHop, and Tyreek he just isn't there yet (like duh obviously) but he's been very promising.

He's pretty close to dead last in terms of separation. That's just not going to fly in this offense.

Coleman is kind of like Drake London. His lack of separation would be a problem if he wasn't so good at getting contested catches.

I'd much rather have Worthy and I feel we're just scratching the surface with him. If all those long bombs connected dude would be getting talked about in rookie of the year conversations (non QB of course, Daniels is insane)

To clarify, he's had some big plays/days due to Allen's ability to play backyard football, but the consistency and overall play isn't there yet.
