I have never seen a QB play that well in snow. Mahomes was throwing daggers out there against the Donks.

I think we can put to rest that other teams somehow have an advantage over us in bad weather.

Rainy and soggy field against the Ravens - Win
Shitty Mexican Field a mile and a half in the sky - Win
Tornado like conditions - Win
Cold weather against the Cheating Pats - Win
Snow and cold weather - Win

Back yard football is their specialty.

I mean, it was enough to make you hope for snow in Baltimore during the AFC championship game week, right?

Mahomes commented that the snow adds a stickiness to the ball that makes it easier to grip and throw the ball. I don't know if I've ever heard a qb say that before. Especially since some feared early on that his hands were on the smaller side. Is there something unique to how he throws the ball?

The only one I can think of was Favre. I remember Him throwing darts in the snow.

You could tell he wasn't getting the same kind of power or flexibility to make those throws early in the year. He was also terrific off-platform. So even though this was a mistake, I actually loved to see he CAN make that throw again.
-Same with accuracy. He's had games where he's struggled with accuracy, again because of injury & conditions. He was terrific today.
Was the int really all that bad? The Denver player just made an amazing play there. He used the snow to slide in there really quick. On a dry field, I don't think that he gets there in time to make that pick.

His ball placement was amazing yesterday- he was hitting guys right in the breadbasket- they had no choice but to catch it.

I am sure they heard all the talk that the Donks would now be equal talent-wise because of the snow- and they destroyed that myth.

This is not a finesse team any longer, it is a punch you in the mouth every play kind of team.

During halftime Coach Cower talked about the snow, making things even with the Donks out there, he said "No that does not matter- if you are fast like the Chiefs, you are still fast on snow. It is harder on the defense to keep up."

And that is exactly what we saw.

weellllllll...

Either of two defensive players could've caught it. That's probably not a wise decision.

Patrick got a little greedy there.

yeah, the ball gets "tacky"

I've heard this before

this might be why he was so good against the Colts last year

That would have been the kill shot to put them away. That is what everyone has been wanting to see out of this Offense.

I mean, you are talking about that ball being a fraction of a second late or it would have been a perfect throw for a TD. Like the Kelce fumble a week before- sometimes you just have to give props to the defense for making an amazing play on the ball. That was probably the best play the Donks made all day.

I would rather see Mahomes take that kill shot every single time and fail once in a while- than always check it down or throw it away in tight coverage. I think 8 out 10, Mahomes makes that play for the win.

I'm just wondering why he's this good in the snow where so many other qbs struggle. He looks even more comfortable in snow than on a warm sunny day.
