They didn't improve though. Just replaced their older starters next year.

Bolles was going to save their o-line this time last year "he's nasty and plays with a mean streak"...fast forward to 2018..he wasn't even re-drafted in the 1st round.

The hope of the draft...I take it with a grain of salt until I actually see them play at the NFL level.

You guys seemed to have got a bunch of STers and a backup DT who is just a run stuffing body. Loved the wasted pick to move up to get a pass rusher. Epic.
Just curious. Chubb never got more than 10 sacks in a season in college. What makes you think that he's going to do it in the NFL?

Chubb isn't going to be an instant 10+ sack guy.

And why is moving up to draft 'the most underrated' defensive pass rusher in the second a bad pick?

Shane Ray 1st rounder...bust..Chubb desperation pick

Paxton Lynch 1st rounder...bust...20 million to a bottom tier QB

Cody Larimer 2nd round...bust...piss away a second on a WR

Montee Ball, Hillman, and others..bust...waste a third on a depth RB

Bradley Roby...bust...Another pick spent to compensate

Thomas, Sanders...old...Another high pick wasted

Jake Butt...bust...forced to take another TE

If Elway hadn't had a poor draft record, you could have really cleaned up on a deep draft. Instead...a bunch of picks geared towards fixing past mistakes as you fall further behind KC and LA

Because the Chiefs took him of course. If the Donks had taken him, he would be the second coming of Lawrence Taylor in his eyes.

It's true that these picks are correcting past mistakes. But that doesn't discount the fact that they are indeed much better picks than ElFraud usually makes. I also wouldn't call Butt a bust just yet. He just hasn't had a chance to play yet. Kelce wasn't able to play as a rookie due to injury either. He certainly wasn't a bust. And fixing those mistakes will go a long way towards making them competitive again, which is really all that they can ask for given how bad they were last year.

It's pretty obvious what Horseface is attempting to do...He signed a 2 year placeholder QB and drafted literally all replacements. Chubb=Ray, Freeman=Anderson, Sutton=Thomas, Yiadom=Talib, Hamilton=Sanders.

He knows they are screwed with VJ too...He's attempting a post-Manning rebuild, shedding a bloated cap, and will let his 2019 HC choose the future QB.

I cant say it's a bad strategy...that team is ****ed for a few years.

Sanders, Thomas, Harris, and Von are all old and will start declining any time now...

Chargers are burying Denver right now. Faid too. If Hurst and Key hit...it could be a decade in the cellar

It's a lot easier when you're picking at the top of the draft.
