Seeing as Bearcat banned me from the KU basketball thread for daring to use statistics to dispel the constant trashing of the team’s best player this year by far, I’ll need somewhere to put my thoughts for this year’s tournament.

In sum, the committee screwed KU again. Their resume (and wins) should have had them at at least a 6 seed and maybe even a 5. Arkansas is also the toughest matchup they could have had among possible opponents and KU matches up horribly against them (stay tuned as to why).

As far as the rest of the tournament goes, I’m picking Houston to win it all and Kentucky (fraud) to lose in the first or second round.

But Texas Tech beat one ranked team all season and lost to St. Joe's, TCU, and UCF... I'd still pick Tech, but wouldn't be all that surprised if it's close since they haven't really proven much all year.

And KU played with a “PF” who should have been playing spot minutes over a future NBA player all year

That was a decision by Self.

I’m not sure Pope could have forecasted someone breaking their foot, someone else breaking their wrist, and someone else damaging their shoulder before the season at the same position.
